Have the same boat without the steering console, same engine and the lightest 25hp made to date, I love that engine. I live in northern Norway and have had 5 people in a boat with weight and managed to get the boat level but it was slow, 2 were children 3 adults with baggage so we were very heavily loaded. if i changed to the propeller that came with the engine i would have no problem at all. But when I was alone with that propeller, I hit the rev limiter and maxed out at 23 knots, but also managed almost the same with a full boat hehe. max speed with the propeller I use now is around 25 knots depends on the current and the wind a little more and sometimes less when I'm alone, but the boat is always good for 20 knots still with full boat. I have some scratches underneath that I would like to get rid of, so if you have a good tip on how to do that, I'd be happy. The boat is very low maintenance and sun resistant and I can handle the boat alone where we have it, I had someone build me a sled last year that helps me get it up and down without scratching the bottom, should I wish I had it before haha. The boat without an engine is 220 kilos and around 60 kilos more with the 25 horsepower from Yamaha. It's not the lightest boat and row but it works. The boat is a bit flat underneath so it can hit a bit in high seas but drive according to the conditions then there is no problem but a little load in the boat will be a bit better too, But it is very stable and safe 172 cm wide. so all in all I love this boat and will probably buy the same boat next time but with a steering console like in the video :).

Are people using these as tenders/dinghies for larger vessels? What is the weight with engine and full tanks?

      Hello John,
Thank you for your comments- this boat would be a great tender due to it's generous space, storage and low maintenance.
An approximate weight with full accessories would be 320KG however, I have never tested this.
      Where are you based?
      Kind regards,
      James

I am in Virginia, USA. Not personally in the market for a Pioner at this time but am very interested in them and have been talking up HDPE boats to my fishing and boating friends in eastern North Carolina. Lots of great waters in their region called the Outer Banks which I think would be great for this boat. Chesapeake Bay as well with its many creeks and rivers. @@caley-marina

@@johnk1529 Hi John, yes, they are great boats- maybe one day we will get one across to Virginia. All the best- James
