For anyone who wants to sing along here are the lyrics..... Of all the money that e'er I had I spent it in good company And all the harm I've ever done Alas, it was to none but me And all I've done for want of wit To memory now I can't recall So fill to me the parting glass Good night and joy be to you all So fill to me the parting glass And drink a health whate'er befalls Then gently rise and softly call Good night and joy be to you all Of all the comrades that e'er I had They're sorry for my going away And all the sweethearts that e'er I had They'd wish me one more day to stay But since it fell into my lot That I should rise and you should not I'll gently rise and softly call Good night and joy be to you all Fill to me the parting glass And drink a health whate'er befalls Then gently rise and softly call Good night and joy be to you all La ra la ra la la La lala lala la la La ra lala la la La la la lala la la But since it fell into my lot That I should rise and you should not I'll gently rise and softly call Good night and joy be to you all So fill to me the parting glass And drink a health whate'er befalls Then gently rise and softly call Good night and joy be to you all Good night and joy be to you all
I just found out ladies, you are all from Dingle. Beautiful. I have really loved your performance. Are there a lot of Kerry people in Australia these days.
@@gedpaul086 I know it sounds mega bitchy. A too quick observation which I stupidly wrote down. Suppose it means ireland is as affected by the obesity so called epidemic like the rest of the planet. Or maybe only half as much as half these talented women are perfectly formed. To emphasise my point - had these colleens been singing in the 60s I’d have said nothing but - feck - they’re great.
So beautiful! It brings tears to my eyes - what voices, what emotion, what great harmonies! Thanks for sharing it.
To remember all who have gone. Many Thanks

Of all the money that e'er I had
I spent it in good company
And all the harm I've ever done
Alas, it was to none but me
And all I've done for want of wit
To memory now I can't recall
So fill to me the parting glass
Good night and joy be to you all
So fill to me the parting glass
And drink a health whate'er befalls
Then gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
Of all the comrades that e'er I had
They're sorry for my going away
And all the sweethearts that e'er I had
They'd wish me one more day to stay
But since it fell into my lot
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
Fill to me the parting glass
And drink a health whate'er befalls
Then gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
La ra la ra la la
La lala lala la la
La ra lala la la
La la la lala la la
But since it fell into my lot
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
So fill to me the parting glass
And drink a health whate'er befalls
Then gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
Good night and joy be to you all
I love the way Pauline Scanlon sings with her hands.
Read this at my papa's funeral. It's astoundingly beautiful.
I had the privilege of seeing this great group of musicians in Bendigo and this was a great way to finish a lovely night of music.

The sound of Ireland.
Music is great but up the Republic.
Ireland is a safe place to travel? I'm Catholic, really...
Ireland is a safe and beautiful place to travel. The Irish people are wonderfully hospitable.
Be careful in Dublin though....otherwise, the rest of the country is sound!
Sing it STRAIGHT, toots.
grand scottish sang
You’re nearly think watching this that to be an Irish woman singer your hips have to be as vast as your vocal talent. Not so.
weird comment Patricia. These women just enjoy singing and are hip as well!
