It's a shame that icons has been discontinued. They actually scale very well with figma, mafex, and sh figuarts.
This was a line with good sculpts, great paint apps and loads of accessories for most of the figures. Shame that most people couldn't get over the scale issue. That and the fact that articulation wasn't always on point, and some durability issues. Quite severe durability issues, now that I come to think of it. Still light years ahead of anything Mattel has put out before or since though.

Rather than improve the line, they chose to go the usual route and cancel the line. Only to release an even shittier line. We just can't have nice things when it comes to DCC. Seriously, what jackass thought it'd be a good idea to make them smaller than Marvel Legends?

One of my personal favorites was the Hal Jordan green lantern, the amount accessories he comes with is great, an overall brilliant green lantern figure
It was a shame this was discontinued. They looked clean af with a fair amount of accesories. Really wish this was around now more than ever

I wouldn't for a kid. And if u are wanting it to scale with Marvel Legends. It wont.

People hating on the size have to realize that with the better, more accurate to human beings anatomy this is really how big they can go with a true 6" scale line which is why all those great import figures are also smaller than the marvel legends people think are proper sized figures since they're the most widely available collector based figures on the market and most people's entry point into collecting figures(reality is majority of them have heads that are way too big for the bodies and the bodies themselves have crazy anatomy, that said, I'm still a legends fan and collector, I just really pick and choose which ones I get these days and that averages out to about 2 figures per wave)

Nah, what they need to realise is theirs more to figure collecting than having everything fit in with marvel legends.

I understand the people that would like it so they can have dc characters interact with their marvel collections for photos,dios,etc but I'm so burnt out on everything within a 15-50 dollar price range being judged on its scale based on marvel legends and that being a factor in so many reviewers final score/level of recommendation for a figure. Anyway I know its not the popular opinion but I've grown to prefer figures that are more within that 7" sort of scale
loved this line! I wished they kept moving forward. I don’t mind the scale having a lex Luther next to dcuc cnc ie Metallo worked well

@@keanuorange690 I think they were considered 6" figures but they were too small to go beside other 6" figures from other companies. If you only posed them with figures within the Icons line, they were excellent figures. So it really just depends how you were posing them and who you were posing them with. But paint and sculpt was phenomenal on them regardless.

No amigo, esta es un línea cancelada hace tiempo por DC collectibles. La línea que reemplazo a mattel es la de MacFarlane toys, que ahora mismo está en venta

5 months later, still only a dream... I keep my hopes up though
One can only hope. McFarlane would be smart to tweak the flaws in the line first, (double ball peg neck, thigh swivel, size up a little), then re-release it. DCC fixed the scale and thigh swivel issue at the end with Nightwing and firestorm.
This line had so much damn potential. But DCC had to go and ruin it. All they had to do was make the figures bigger, add thigh swivels, and a double ball peg for the head articulation. DCC can't seem to help shooting themselves in the foot every chance they get. Like seriously, what the hell is up with that company?
This line, for me was really great. Apart from some quality control issues and a few missed chances at higher articulation, I loved it. Then when DC essentials came it totally ruined DC action figure collecting. The only companies that make good DC figures are Mezco, NECA, Soap studios, Storm collectibles and potentially, the McFarlane company. I wish DC collectibles could bring back Icons, they were just great for me.
