I have made an updated guide, with commentary. I recommend watching it instead, since it goes into greater detail. ruclips.net/video/Wr0P4L76IvI/видео.htmlsi=4TMiEhlApXisleb7
Oooohh, there’s a mod for this now? I’ve been rigging my macros for like years now. (Haven’t gotten to play drg in a while due to my gaming rig not being up properly.)
This only works if you dont reach the vertical speed limit for carrying heavy objects. If you initiate the ingame drop mechanic by going too fast on the vertical axis, holding the interact key, wont keep regrabbing the heavy object. For this, you would need to send multiple individual inputs to grap the heavy object as your dwarf is dropping it.

you also can cancel throw ending animation by pressing RMB(pickaxe) and act sooner
now it's gonna drive me even more nuts that this game doesn't have airstrafing
Important thing to note this mod does not work properly on low fps's dead jumps may happen on fps lower then 90
that 3:56 transition is so sexy
real good guide!

thank you bbg
Can I do this without mods ?
Asking this before unknowingly investing time to learn a tech that becomes unavailable when I go offline
What mod gives you the bigger FOV?
You need to change it manually through your GameUserSettings.ini file, that is located inside the game files.
I use 150, but you can go much further.
@@Spurrrg thank you bbg
Can't you just hold the interact key in order to buffer the midair pickup instead?
