It's a shame I'm just now finding your channel. I could do without the BGM. I enjoy hearing both you and your surroundings when watching. All together, a great video. Copperheads are one of my favorites. Sub'd, Liked and Shared 🙏🏻
I'm in a great spot for snakes but I don't feel comfortable enough to go looking. Id never touch it or even think to handle it but I really respect these snakes. So beautiful and amazingly fast. I can't believe how fast they can move for a medium size snake. Not strike just gets out of dodge really quick. Snakes domt want to hurt us, they are mostly allot more scared than us. Such a amazing animal. I really like animals but reptiles just amaze me and honestly I love em. I save turtle any shce I get. Saved one one day so big I had to pick it up with a snow shovel and it was bigger then it. Lile I saod I respect them, I try not to handle them but I will remove em off the road. I'd have to have a hook if it was venomous. Not taking any chances. I can't afford all that lol. I cant afford a turtle bite either especially the size of that huge one. Biggest ive ever seen.
Im just tossin in my 2 cents take it or leave it, i really very much enjoyed this video, but prolly wouldve loved it without the music. I want to hear as close as I can to what youre hearing! Great job thanks!
This is a passion of mine and it has taken me years to train my eyes so to speak to hone in on their cryptic pattern, but that being said, I think for every copperhead I am fortunate to see, I probably miss ten!
Hey Mark, I am from New England and am hoping to feature some Copperheads on one of my videos soon. Any places you know that would be good for Copperheads? My goal is to be able to film a den of them every year to document there population, and teach people that you should not fear Copperheads. -Bryan of Trail of the Wild Wild
Hi Bryan, certainly a noble cause! Copperheads are protected and their den sites are highly sensitive areas, so I can't really share any locations. Feel free to email me at mflotterhand@aol
Just a friendly critique, the woods excursion and seeing the Copperheads is already interesting enough. The music is just off-putting. Just the natural sounds and your narration are plenty good enough and would make a better video. Just my opinion. Subbed btw.
Awesome thanks
Thanks for stopping by John!

Thank you! Early on I did include too much BGM on many of my videos, over the last year I have scaled back, favoring natural sounds.

Thanks for sharing and having an open mind! We need more folks like you in the world...respecting the natural world and the animals that inhabit it.
Holy shit that 2nd one scared the crap out of me. Idk how you stand there like that in their den. You're too kind. Good videos btw!
Thanks Roger! Copperheads are generally passive. You just have to be cautious where you place your feet and hands.
I wouldn’t wanna pitch a tent there overnight.
Me neither, couldn't get any sleep with all that stupid music playing!
You step on it you be the one hurt
.And I thought I had a "good eye" for snakes...Mark, you put me to shame, spotting these copperheads..Thoroughly enjoyed the video!!!
Thanks Robert! I know I must miss a lot of snakes, so my good eye is all relative and if edited in such a way, makes it look even better lol

Such dedication to your interests. Always a pleasure to catch a new video. I have friends who love watching your videos when I share them.
Wow, they move fast. No wonder why most people don’t see them when we like the weather.
Great video!
You've lost your mind 😧
How do you spot them that easy lol I walk out in search for them in habitat all the time and never see any

The Third Pin Thanks, I am still trying to find some balance between music and no music.
@@lotterhand if u can , please just turn it down a bit.. its just to loud, i would love to hear you better =)
@@lotterhand No music... I don't watch for the music.
Judging by that highway sign you are in either Rhode Island or Massive-Two-Shits ?
I'm a Kentuckian so I just Googled Hwy 122 and 146.
Am I right?
Copperhead's are one of those snakes I see like 6 times a year if I'm looking I just Not in a good area for them I guess
It could just be that you are finding them in their summer foraging grounds, when they are somewhat scattered.
@@lotterhand oh ok thanks
Great place to drop NAPALM !
First like
Thank you!
