The Ultra is the ultimate machine for making kindling and for my 150-200 cord per year business. That reminds me I need to gas up the Ultra for the next time I use it which will be later today with Mike. Speaking of Mike your new mic 🎙️ did really good.
Jeff your the man. This is the first time seeing you in anything more than a t shirt. Take care you could win the back 40 cold weather challenge I’m sure
Nice set-up Jeff. Definitely have to keep moving to keep warm. We were at -15 this morning so thank goodness for making bundles in the pole barn.. Stay safe and warm! 👍TCT
Hi, I used to use kindling. But for the last tifteen years, I have been using one of those propane weed burning torches. Works great! It will light a fire without kindling. I think it costs around fifteen bucks. Works great for ligniting trash and burn piles, too. Mine has an auto-ignite piazo ignighter on it. Shalom/gw
That Ultra can make some kindling! We sell kindling as well. I was making some earlier tonight. It was originally just an added perk to our firewood stand. Sometimes people come out just to buy kindling🤷♂️ Take care Jeff👊🏻
Thinking about going waiting on the weather driving from tupper lake. That's a great idea with the tote. I do the same with slab wood with my super split
I really like the bladder on a pallet. I might try that but cut the bottom out and leave the corners to screw it to. Your full of good ideas. Also Joe is my excavator buddies name. Bob was the dog Val wanted but now Joe shall be called Bob! 😂😂😂
Hey, Jeff. It's good to see a hardware store supporting you and Patti. Seems like everyone is getting more rain lately. We don't get near the snow anymore that we got years ago. Wind and rain is the new norm. Kenny
Thank you Kenny. Yes I agree that is the new norm. I remember when I was a kid that the first week in September we would get snow and it would stay until late April. Not no more. Stay warm and be safe
I’ll be at the fellowship! Possibly bringing a buddy or 2! Brad’s last number was 110ish attending….! (Joe Gilbert was the Kubota operator at the bucking event…) 😉

Don’t you get enough kindling type wood in all the scraps (slash) that come out of the splitting to make normal firewood size wood ? Thnx…

That looks like really cold work. Cool to see someone else use the bladders too. I use mine to store all the cutoffs.
