I LOVE the garland! I usually change colors every year and rose gold is one of my colors for the new scheme. The mice and the carriage are adorable. We do not have a Home Sense but we do have Home Goods, Marshalls and TJMaxx which are all affiliated. So darling! TFS.

Your new garland is stunning. It would be my favorite. I can see leaving it up through winter for sure. The rest of your purchases are going to go/be great with the changes you intend to make. I usually wait until the first week of Dec. to do Christmas decor, but I think at least half the people here in the US do theirs before Thanksgiving, or do it to coincide with Thanksgiving. When I was a little girl most people began to decorate about 10 days b/4 Christmas. Daddy always got us a real tree (I never knew if he bought it or 'borrowed' it b/c he'd walk in the door, after work, with the tree in hand) and nailed two boards to make an X and nailed that to the tree, to make a tree stand. It was never watered so by the time we took it down it was a fire hazard and the needles were everywhere. Mama said we couldn't decorate it until it had time to warm up, to allow the branches to spread. I hated waiting. We hung the same ornaments, year after year, and ended by drenching the tree in tinsel icicles, which had to be hung one by one. That was all the decorating we did. Once the tree was up, the wait began for Santa. We never had any Christmas Eve festivities. They were all done Christmas day: opening presents in the morning and a nice Christmas dinner later in the day: Turkey, mashed potatoes with homemade gravy, sweet potatoes, rolls (which daddy made, they were yeast rolls and delicious) and cranberry fluff (made with ground up fresh cranberries, crushed pineapple, sugar, marshmallows, tons of black walnuts and after soaking all night in the fridge, real whipped cream was folded into it). Mama usually made real fudge, the old fashioned kind you cooked to a soft boil stage. She made it in her iron skillet, just like her mother had done. It was traditional back than to have the tree up on New Years Eve. After which it was taken down, unless you observed Old Christmas which was celebrated Jan. 6th.
Omg i swear we had almost the same Christmas. Exactly the same for putting up the tree only did it 4days before on my BIRTHDAY! The fudge was done in a pot that my sisters an i still use to make it over the stove! With marshmallow fluff. Im remembering fondly those days. And sad at the same time. The clocks changed here in New York last night. Ugh! I am strictly a traditional Christmas decor girl, but truly appreciate your style and love all of your new items. The garland is stunning! I have been planning for Christmas since August and have hauled out all of my holiday bins to take inventory, too, but I won't begin decorating until after Thanksgiving. I've purchased some new baubles for both of my trees, better garlands for my mantel, staircase and the outdoor front door entry this year as well. All of your new trinkets would have been perfect for the tree I used to set up in my daughter's bedroom when she was a child. She's 29 now with a son of her own which will make Christmas just that more magical for our family since he will be just shy of two come Christmas. I can't wait for your decorating video!💕

We have two cats who don’t bother with the Christmas tree; but we also have a six month old puppy. I don’t see any ornaments going on our tree 😲. A little tip on your oasis wreath, the foam made for fresh flowers is very soft and different than foam made for dry flowers so if you use it for faux please use a glue. Hot glue or whatever will do. As it’s made to be used wet it may fall apart on you used dry. Or use it wet with evergreens and it will last you several weeks. 😬
I use Christian decor...I have a lovely nativity set..I use it every year and leave it out for a good two months....I love your style...so pink and girly.....

A little tip on your oasis wreath, the foam made for fresh flowers is very soft and different than foam made for dry flowers so if you use it for faux please use a glue. Hot glue or whatever will do. As it’s made to be used wet it may fall apart on you used dry. Or use it wet with evergreens and it will last you several weeks. 😬
