I think you all should do an episode on how you would like the full playoff format to be or talk about and give your thoughts on this one. I was listening to Joel Klatt and he proposed this as a playoff format. It’s a 14 team playoff 4 auto bids for the big ten and SEC (8 teams) 2 auto bids for ACC and Big 12 each (4 teams) 2 additional at large bids for the top 2 remaining at large teams. ND would be in this category since they don’t play in a conference Big 10 and SEC are guaranteed the 1 and 2 seeds, seeds 3-14 would be ranked by computers and committee members 1st round and quarterfinal games on campus at the higher seed Reseed after the first round so the 1 seed gets the lowest seed that advances. That way we don’t get what happened this year with Oregon having the hardest path and punishing them for going 13-0 Semi final games on neutral sites Rose Bowl as the national championship game every year on January 1st How to determine who gets in SEC and Big 10 1 and 2 seed gets in no matter who wins or loses the SEC championship game. The 6 seed vs the 3 seed and the 5 seed vs the 4 seed would determine the other two SEC and Big 10 teams getting in. For the ACC and Big 12 they don’t have a conference championship game. They do a 4 seed at the 1 seed and the 3 seed at the 2 seed and the winners of those games get in the college football playoff Remaining group of 5 conferences continue to operate under their current championship format and highest seed advances

Love that idea!!! We may do that! We have some strong opinions on the playoff format for sure!
