  • Each year, Mark and I take a trip with just the two of us, and it’s something I look forward to every year! This year we took a trip to Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky, and we stayed in the absolutely cutest A-frame cabin that we found on Air BnB! The cabin was dog-friendly so we also took our puppy, Cody, along. Come with us for a tour of the cabin we stayed in (just on the other side of the road from Mammoth Cave National Park!), tour Mammoth Cave, and find a very quiet hiking trail to explore the beautiful fall colors on the trees in the park!
    Thanks for watching!

    I want to clarify that we did not shine a light directly on the bats, and we do not recommend that. The teenager who did that didn’t realize the light he was using was so bright and turned it off quickly. Let’s all let the bats sleep in peace… or as much as they can with large tour groups passing by! 😅 I was too excited about seeing them to remember to say that in the video!
    There are many types of tours available at Mammoth Cave. We chose the Historic Tour.
    The link for the cabin we stayed in is in the description box! 💕 Tell them we sent you should you decide to stay there too!

      You could have brought horses?

    • @ShowMeAnAdventure
      @ShowMeAnAdventure  8 месяцев назад

      Yes! There were several stalls where you can board your horses with you! It’s such a popular area for horseback riding. We originally were going to bring ours but we have been so busy they haven’t been ridden much this year, and we also got the new puppy and couldn’t handle horses and a puppy both on the trails. Lol Cody was pretty darn happy to go! No regrets. 💕🐶

    So how many National parks are there?

    • @ShowMeAnAdventure
      @ShowMeAnAdventure  8 месяцев назад

      Well… I think there’s something like 400 or more of national historic sites and monuments and federally managed land, but what they call the “big 63” are the national parks on my bucket list. Any of the others are a bonus!
