I loved the setting and mystical elements of it, including the music. I wasn't familiar with Clannad at the time, but I still have their "Themes" CD from 1992 - so many great tracks, including this and a handful from Robin. Such timeless music!

Also Motorheard. Music is life.
My mum told me about the theme to one of her favourite shows, told me it was so moving and I was not dissapointed, this is one of the best live performances I know of.
I watched the series that this was the Theme for I never seen a TV drama series that summed up a period so well. The utter futility of lives lost. I still cry many years later not just the music but all those lives. God help them and me!
