Best part is Tyler talking with a quiet voice outside because it’s 7 am and he has neighbors but immediately starts weed eating 😂😂
Sure, but electric yard tools are much quieter than gas.
@@noneyabizz8337 not by much. my neighbor has a eletric lawn mower and my other one has a gas one and they sound just as loud.
No they don’t
@@s1n3theunknownyea they do lol

I love how Tyler found a way to get paid to do HIS yardwork
Not a bad gig He is smarter than me
Why the emphasis on his
Because most people, to get paid they have to do other people's yard work

He's the smartest dumb person I know.
Tyler when cutting wood
"Wow. Cuts just like wood" - 2023
Tyler at 22:30 AND 23:54: “That sawed it like a piece of wood! I did not expect this!”
Me: “Uh, Tyler…it *is* wood.”
Bro I thought I was the only one who caught that I literally immediately went to the comments as soon as I heard that
Right to the comments here also 🤣🤣🤣
i giggled at that one
He really isn’t all that bright

Kids:dad what are you doing
Dad:im trimming bushes and this saw, that sawed like a piece of wood
Kid:that is wood*in mind*
Kid:my dad is dumb
This is the only way tyler will actually do his yard work
😂
We all know those trimmed branches will be laying there in a few months when he tests something else out in the back yard.
Monetize your chores, and make your toys a tax write off.
It's the life of a youtuber.
Need to do a power washer test on that fence!
or a spray and wash chemical's
I'd love for Tyler to try out non power washer fence/house cleaners AND power washers too. My house has a bunch of mildew on the siding and I'd like to clean it without a power washer, if possible.
Love to see the cheap electric harbor freight power washer vs a real one
@@cutekittensmeow most of em work the same except for how long they keep mildew away
@@cutekittensmeowSaw a different video on that a while ago. Apparently the meta is to spray the mildew with chlorine mixed with water. Chlorine eats through mold and whatnot.
I'm wondering if they consider that delay a safety feature for accidental hits to the trigger
That was my thought and frankly think it's not a bad idea
That was my exact thought
It could make sense. And for tools like the saw one it might even be necessary.
It's a little bit of both a safety feature and protection for the tool it's a love hate relationship.
no if u go that route all gun triggers would have 10/30 sec delay
I can only imagine your neighbors looking out their windows and saying "Hey Frank, the neighbor boy is out there talking to himself again doing yard work."
There goes the schizo again😂
Yeah lol absolutely hilarious 👊.
"At least he isn't violating that mannequin again."

One thing he didn't consider with the milwaukee weedeater is longevity. Since the motor is at the back of the unit instead of the front, when weedeating tall grass the intake doesn't suck up the dust and grass like the atlas will. Been there done that, took two years for my old one to burn up.
It’s battery powered… there is no intake
@@brycelinton7302lm glad someone caught that
@@brycelinton7302no it will pulls air to cool
@@brycelinton7302there is still intake on electric. It intakes air for cooling. Just like a drill or circ saw. No there’s not air intake for a motor, but air is used to cool the electronics.
@@brycelinton7302 tell me you have never used any electric tool without telling me... even a DRILL has intake and outtake.. just pull the trigger and you will feel air coming out.. and if it comes out it has to get in somehow too..
The rotation direction is just a technique thing. The way you are standing and attacking the grass should be adjusted to match the rotation of the tool. You were walking and attacking the grass to your left essentially and if you simply turn around and attack the grass from the right you wouldn’t get grass thrown at you. Personally, I wish all tools would have direction selection like a drill. It would be much more convenient to change the direction of spin based on what was more comfortable at the moment instead of having to adopt a particular technique based on the static spin direction
I use them daily professionally and you are correct. I'm used to them spinning counter clockwise and as you say, it's the direction of attack.
Tyler no comprendo
With the petrol (gas) ones change in direction would add some cost, but with the new cordless it should be extremely simple to add that in for all of about $10 cost of manufacture if that. If you really wanted to DIY it you possibly could.
Actually, with a bump feed line trimmer it might not be as easy as I think it might have to spin the right way for the line to feed. Possibly a lot more engineering involved than I thought.
@legallyfree2955 yeah unless they could redesign system imyou either need to go with a fixed line/blade trimmer, or swap heads to accommodate direction change
Another big factor is going to be longevity. The cheaper stuff will usually start to have problems earlier.
Plus Harbor freight changes battery design every two or three years, so when they change designs and you need a replacement if the tool does make it that long, good luck.
But the motor on the Milwaukee is expected to do all the work. On the harbor freight tools, each motor is only used for that specific tool therefore will have less of a workload.
@@jasonyeager2718 The Milwaukee motor is quite a bit more robust than the brushed cheapos in the H/F. Thats a big brushless unit in there. I doubt it would ever have any issues. Have you ever used Milwaukee tools? They're bulletproof..
The H/F tools are fine for around the house, once a month kind of use. The Milwaukee is for someone who relies on them fo their living.
@@scottmclaughlin5674 Everyone's experience with tools will vary, pretty much every Milwaukee tool I've had was a disappointment so for me they're absolute trash. Had a few Mikita products that have been fairly reliable but the one that's actually been the most reliable for me is Ryobi which seems to be the average persons lesser experience of the 3.
@jasonyeager2718 great point actually but the milwaukee could probably take more load
Trimming dowl rods, Tyler says, it cuts it like a piece of wood 23:54 I thought dowl rods are wood 😂
Yeah that was funny. I think he meant the trimmer cuts like a saw.😂
Came to comments to say *this*
What do you mean?
This is a certified classic already
Yup! 😅
😂
Always wonderful to see this sponsor on your videos, Tyler. Thank you for helping spread the word on this one.
Tyler trimming wood dowels “wow it sawed it like a piece of wood”
With string trimmers, I've owned both clockwise and counterclockwise runners. If you trimmer runs "backwards"... just change the direction you're cutting the fence line. If you were going north to south, and it's throwing the grass on your shoes, Just go south to north and it won't.
I also LOVE the ring mounted goPro. Adds a lot to the production value
I have a 40+ year old Milwaukee sawzall that my father used for 30 years at his job as a plumbing and heating contractor. It still kicks ass.
That's a real Milwaukee not the plastic toy tools they make today.
I'm imagining the delay must be a safety feature, especially with the saw attachment
Nah, it's just a side effect of a cheap speed controller for the motor. The startup process for a brushless DC motor can draw a lot of power, so to avoid damaging themselves or whatever motor they're connected to, a lot of off the shelf speed controllers will ramp up to full speed/power over a second or two. But if you know the characteristics of the motor being used, and are willing to pay a hardware engineer to do so, you can build (or customize) the speed controller so that it can get a near-instant startup without issue.
Nope
No just cheap electronics
You do Wish Wednesday, now you need Harbor Freight Friday. You know with these tools being electric, they should put a switch on it so you can choose the direction of head.
Keep doing lawn equipment, and your lawn will look good. With that extention pole, you can clean your gutters.
I can't wait for the fence cleaning video! There's a bunch of mildew on the siding of my house and I'd like to know if there's a way to clean it without a pressure washer.
same way i did my house.....bleach in a weed sprayer bottle. spray on let soak about 20 min. then using a pressure washer style garden hose spray wand hose it off. best results gotta get nozzle good and close but works.

You’re doing the world a great service. Keep it up man. Love the content!! 😂
I helped out my buddy for a while when he needed help with his mowing company back in college to make some extra money, ran a weed eater/trimmer, mower backpack blower etc, it was a commercial stihl equipment, if you run the right path in the yard, around the house and edging sidewalks, they do spin the correct way because you technically get there before the stand up mowers etc, and they mulch the clippings with the mower as they go along, makes more less work in the long run
"It just saws it like a piece of wood."
-Tyler, while sawing a piece of wood.
I have the Atlas pole saw and pole trimmer. One major advantage is that you can combine the two kits and extension rods to get insane reach.
_^trimmer cuts wood^_
Tyler: "It cut that like it was wood!"
ya don't say....
I live a few minutes from the Til Valhalla Project Warehouse and was lucky enough to get a tour of the facility recently. Hearing the back story and seeing what they do, it is extremely heartwarming.

Pruning mom here ! Make sure you prune just above the shoulder of where the branch joins the tree. The shoulder has the good stuff that closes the wound completely. Your tree will look happy and feel happy.
Oh how i love waking up and straight up getting a notification Tylertube just posted 😂😂😂 its going to be a good day 😊
Gotta do pressure washers now to continue the yard work chores LOL
The modular tools are nicer because they are easier to store. Also would've been nice if you showed feeding trimmer string and the reload process.
I prefer each tool to have its own power unit. I don’t need one failure point to kill 3-4 tools.
@@jacobjohnson4763 the brushless motor will last way longer tho, especially since it isn't near the debris when in use
@@bramcallaert7828doubt that matters. I’ve seen those kind of motors essentially covered in dirt and last years. If dirt dosnt kill then I doubt grass will or sawdust. Plus if that was the thing that got you all worried you could always just clean it
@@jacobjohnson4763 That's understandable, I completely understand that concept of "integrated" units. IME if you're buying decent+ quality tools, especially brushless the power head will probably be the last point of failure.
10 years ago I started with a Ryobi 2 Cycle power head, trimmer, and blower. It stopped running a couple years ago. So it lasted 8 years. I replaced it with one of the Ryobi 4 Cycle units and am on the 3rd year with it. I have 3 attachments, trimmer, blower, and edger.
So IME, even with the middle ground stuff, longevity isn't an issue unless you consider 8 years a short life, pulling triple duty.
Good video as usual 💪🏻😎. I’d like to see some videos on the klx in the background aswell I think that would be some cool content
Got linked here and glad I did. I wanted you to know that this was the first I ever heard of Til Valhalla Project. I spent nearly an hour on their site while this video was paused. Picked up over $100 in t's and donated a bit more for such a great cause. I love the founder's very personal story and his willingness to share it.
I haven't used any tools from either brand except for the Milwaukee Demolition Hammer. I only buy DeWalt since it hasn't ever let me down. I think the Harbor Freight would be better if you have a smaller yard that doesn't need a lot of maintenance. The low maintenance and not putting the tools through a lot will probably increase the longevity of the tools. For heavier and more frequent work Milwaukee would be the best bet.
The kit Tyler bought costs $764 when not on sale. Harbor Freight costs $479 when not on sale. Paying $285 less for tools that will preform a little worse than a premium brand seems worth it in my opinion.
Seriously though. My thoughts are if you are buying these tools for like a landscaping business or carpentry business its not a good idea. But if you are the DIY type that wants to use one of these tools every so often, Harbor Freight is the best option.
waching tyler doing yard work, really got me thinking about the direction my life is going
Tyler and project farm do a tool colab review would be kind of amusing
Your neighbours must just love you using power tools at 7am
7 am is late enough
The reason the way the trimmer head spins is mainly to control where your grass clippings go. It's better for it to spin counterclockwise because if your trimming against a flower bed, car, white fence. You don't want the grass to go on that stuff. Also, ALL professional trimmers spin counterclockwise, gas or electric
“Okay these birds are annoying me so let’s use the Milwaukee…” Tyler stepped up his testing for this vid😂

First time I've ever been so early for a Tyler video. You should try the Atlas 80v brushless equipment and see if it's worth the upgrade over the 40v

Never change, Tyler....seriously, don't. Lol. Only been subbed for a few years, but gosh darn do I dig every vid! Stay well, all.
I would love to see the harbor freight pole saw with a quality blade on it. HF tools tend to come with really cheap blades and grinding attachments to keep cost down. My bench grinder I got from there vibrated quite a bit and had unbalanced wheels but once I took a little time to face the wheel it worked fine and when I replaced it for a good quality wheel it worked even better.
As someone who has years of experience using trimmers, as someone mentioned, if it spins opposite to what you're used to. You just need to adjust the direction and way you trim. Its not a huge deal. In gas trimmers, 2 stroke gas trimmers they spin counter clockwise generally, not often you can find one, but a 4 stroke one will spin clockwise. I prefer the four stroke ones personally, but all mine currently are stihl two strokes. You just have to get used to using both. Nothing more.
I use a hedge trimmer at my grandmas house and it is always the most fun yard work because of how smooth the hedge trimmer works. Raking up all the little branches after is not so much fun though.
I don't own a pole saw. I still have the old fashioned version with a super sharp blade that you move by manual motion. The weight at the cutting end needs to be enough for gravity to do some of the work, otherwise you're pulling/pushing it through a branch. Just a thought on why balance may not be an issue. Thanks man!
Check out silky saws, their big boy and katanaboy saws
@@andrewscott8892 Thanks!
That’s exactly it. I have the harbor freight pole saw. Just like any saw, you let the chain and gravity do the work.

You should either do a cheap vs expensive pressure washer or a pressure washer vs non pressure washer video to clean up that fence
Absolutely did not skip that ad 👊🏽💪🏽
Next project should be testing power washers for that fence cleaning
Maybe the delay on the harbor freight at attachments is a safety feature.
Bro it’s brushless motor vs a brushed motor. I doubt it’s a safety thing when they could have just put the safety on the trigger
The fact that he did these tests in shorts and slides gave me chills
Tyler “it saws through it like it’s wood” me “Tyler it is wood”.
The counter clockwise rotation of the weed eater is fairly standard on majority of all weed eaters, mostly due to the bolt that the blade/trimmer goes on is laft hand threads to prevent attachment from coming loose. I personally have never used one that rotated clockwise
Every Gas trimmer I've ever owned spun the same direction. My first battery operated trimmer spun the opposite direction. It took me a long time to adjust but I sure don't miss fighting my damned Echo to get running every year.
Dude I swear I watched this video like a month ago or so. The extendo part triggered that memory. I distinctly remember it

you just got another subscriber great videos!!!!
You should do a video about your dirtbike leaning on the barn.
It looks like the Atlas has much more aggressive teeth. The chips coming off of it are much bigger. That would explain the saw bogging down easier and also wanting to pull you around a lot more.
Watching Tyler explain the kit in the beginning had my brain going brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Tyler is going to have to start doing the lawns in the neighborhood to test all these products.
“It saws it like it’s a piece of wood!” Hahahaha Tyler, it is a piece of wood my dude! 😝
I use a Dewalt battery powered weed wacker and honestly I like it for how well it works. But with all the wieght being on the back it really does hurt the back when you have a yard as large as mine. It uses the huge Dewalt flex battery I can't remember details at the moment but it's a big battery, the biggest Dewalt battery I believe they have currently at like 40amp or something icr. So for weed wacking I feel if the was at the front end it would be a bit easier on you're back. Now I know you can probably get s strap so your not holding all that wieght like it is but I don't have time too go searching one down lol. But I've used 2 versions of the battery powered Dewalt one and have loved both. My original took any Dewalt battery that all you're average drills and impacts used while my new bigger battery one takes only the one size huge Dewalt battery. I feel they should distribute the wieght better with these thing's honestly fir people with back issue's because after an hour or so of weed wacking it takes a big tole on you're back. I've never used the Milwaukee as I've never really been a Milwaukee person myself honestly. But if all you can afford is the harbor freight stuff I say who cares if it works and does the job then nothing else matters right as long as you're happy. Oh I also have a gas powered set that has everything the Milwaukee kit you have has and it's made by stihl if my memory is correct I don't use it often as the battery powered is just easier to grab and go compared too maintenance of the gas powered set I have.
You should also find a actual big thick log for these experiments when you do them. You can usually find such a log almost around any section of woods if you don't naturally have it around your yard like I do as I live on lake in the pocono mountains and am surrounded by woods. And if I'm honest I don't see the point in comparing cheap vs expensive because obviously you get what you pay for. Or maybe they aren't supposed too be cutting square 2×4's or 4×4's lol and thats why these tests should be done strictly on actual tree limbs and small logs as that's what it's for.
The miluakee extentions are really usefull for the pole saw and getting higher than without any extentions.
VIDEO IDEA!!
Tyler, I think that if you were to find a different blade for the harbor freight saw and see if you can swap the batteries I think that could be a good second test video to this.
23:54 "just saws it like its a piece of wood" Literally a piece of wood lol
I love how Tyler neglects his yard just to make content for it. Truly a one of a kind RUclipsr.
Like the klx in the background
Nice review
One thing I can say is that my uncle and I used to have the harbor freight ones for our landscaping business, the harbor freight ones may be cheap, but usually they'd stall before the motor could pop on you
Also the reason why the harbor freight weed eatery spins the way it does is because it's lefty flipped, so it's made for people trimming in a different way than others
Need to do a work boot comparison video an the work boot that wins you have to wear while makin vids with things that'll cutya toes off lol
23:53 "It just saws it like it's a piece of wood"

I agree that string trimmers need to spin clockwise. I realize it works the same either way, but I just can’t adjust mentally. In fact, I have an 18v and a 40v trimmer, and although the 40v is much better, I never use it because it spins backwards.
My boy sorting the slides while having a saw fly down towards his feet 😂
I love this videos sponsor. Thought I’d just put that out there
I swear, for the money, the BEST I have ever got for hedge trimming, lawn mowing, weed-eating and leaf blowing is Juans & Horatio's Landscaping service. Non stop all day long on one charge LOL
Just so you know I enjoy hearing the birds in the background. The sounds of outdoors is way better than some channels playing music in the background (which I'm glad you don't) that is usually not my taste.
If you want it to spin the other way. Take the neg and pos off the motor and switch them. Changes polarity and spins the motor the other direction.
