    I had to stop the video straight away to say I really like the pretty snack sets. I have a bunch of them, and I do use them when I entertain and am only serving snacks. I have some friends that think it's too much work having to wash them etc. But I don't mind the "work", it is a big part of the fun (at least it is for me) putting on the ritz, so to speak, for your guests. I also love to set a pretty table for our dinner parties. I have a lot of different sets of dinner sets in various colors and styles. And again, it is all part of the fun. Good evening, George! Mother used to have a set of the snack plates and cups, still in the box. She never used them, and they were sold at a yard sale. That reed organ was really pretty. I have a Mason and Hamlin reed organ, made in the last half of 1892. I had the pumps and bellows redone in it, and it sounds fantastic. I couldn't get into that 2" x 4" furniture or the blue bow geese when they first came out...still don't like either of them. You should've gone a bit slower in your booth...been nice to have shopped it😉 That bronze eagle is fantastic! I like the carved wood one, too! A lot of interesting items in all the shops! Thanks for the take-along!!!

    • @TheAntiqueNomad
      @TheAntiqueNomad  2 года назад +2

      It's interesting that you were able to get so much information about the organ you have! They are really rather nice if redone properly, I sold a good one in an estate sale a few years ago and I really am partial to them. That furniture was reminiscent of what sailors stationed in my hometown rented in the 1970s lol. The blue ribbon geese are absolutely not my style either, but they were so ubiquitous that they're somebody's! You're right that I should've slowed down so everyone could look, I need to do that sometime on a live perhaps. The eagles made me happy, too! Thanks for being here

      I had an old lava lamp. Years & years ago a girl I was babysitting became interested in it. I gave it to her. Then she got mad at me and got rid of it. I always regretted giving it to her, as it had been one of my favorite things.

      No, it's illegal to cut them on state land without a permit, but they aren't illegal to sell or own once cut. I look for old ones (they usually were finished, or have a dark patina on the cut mark compared to new), I personally don't like seeing them get cut nowadays

    23:05 I bet it's a "junior chair", made for when the baby is too big for a high chair but too small to use a regular one. Or else maybe for an older child with Down Syndrome. The crawl on the lamp in your booth said "blanc du chien" .... that's white of dog instead of "blanc de Chine" aka Chinese white on white. I'm positively giggling right now...might want to fix that!!!
