SWFL Eagles ~ Is This Goodbye E23? My Last Coverage Of E23 Visiting Nest Before Flying Off 💕 5.3.24

- This may be the last footage and flight we have of E23 who was last seen on May 3rd at 2:36pm flying over the pond and heading east. E23 may still be in the area, across the street at Yonder pond or someplace out of view of the cam. The average time for E's to leave the area is 127 days and E23 was 124 days old on May 3rd. It is bittersweet to see E23 fly off and disappear from our sight. We know that that the time for departure is close when E23 misses food deliveries on the nest which E23 has done recently. We will watch and wait to see if E23 will return again to the nest tree.
The footage begins with E23 waking up on the upper branch and will fly over to the CSS (church side snag) and perch for awhile before flying off east. E23 is then seen flying N/W over the pond and circling back toward the west side of the pond. A large bird flies E to W, then E23 flies from the Office oak and follows west.
E23 makes a joyous squee arrival back to the spike branch at 2:31pm. The shrikes are dive bombing again. E23 drops to the nest and flies off to the office oak. E23 does not stay long in the office oak and flies off east, then back towards the pond and circles around and flies east again till out of cam view.
Stay safe E23 where ever you are! Time will tell over the next few days if E23 has left or not. ♥ I am already missing our Squee 23 ♥ Thank you for watching!

This is always the toughest part of watching the cam every year, having to say goodbye to each E. Soar high E23 and live a long and productive life, bringing many more eagles into the world. ❤️🦅❤️🇺🇸

I truly believe she will. I've said it from the start. She will be a survivor.. it saddens me to the core that 80% of the babies hatched out this year won't be alive this time next year. And I'm still saddened over little Meadow. Id much rather NOT known about her. Her sibling got the winning end. Swampy? Am I thinking right? Anyway, she was starving way before she ever got in human hands.
That's why I always hope for only one egg to be laid or only one to hatch. Like with E23. By being the only one and both parents concentrating on her, that gave her full advantage 😀💓🦅
And one more thing, I really wasn't joking when I said I hope her and R6 who we know is male because he was banded, can get together as mates 4 and half years from now and being more beautiful babies in to the world. If the poor little fellow is anything like his goofy dad, he will need a very strong female to lead him by the beak 😁💓🦅🦅 can't help but love Goofy Ron

I agree with everything you said each year its difficult to say bye😢 this E23 really stole my heart gave me smiles laughter excitement now tears I've been in outa hospital and it helped me tremendously watching E23 M15 F23 the BEAUTY of E23 all angles. Loved to fly soared high and exploring different areas not always at this one particular place. We would wait for tea kettle sounds🎉 😅 there you are😂 this is difficult to say bye to E23❤ gave us so much joy!🎉😅❤ THANK YOU❤❤❤

I kinda had a feeling that E23 was getting ready to leave the other day when he was down by the pond sitting on the pylon just looking around and it looked like a deep contemplation about things, like he was taking everything in and looking at his home and family and getting ready to say goodbye. If gone for good, I wish E23 the best life ever. I will miss E23!❤
your observation is correct; juvies, as they prepare to leave forever, become very contemplative, sort of mature and quiet. E23 might visit again soon, but he is certainly ready for his life adventure ;-)

I was always a little worried about E-21 leaving a little bit early. I felt E-22 was ready. I have no doubt that this gorgeous creature is more than ready to take on the world. You can bet that both parents know exactly where E-23 is.

I agree about E21. I felt it was too early and that he accidentally flew too far too soon. And was afraid to try to come back.

E23 was a joy to watch. She learned so fast but took each step very methodically and learned through each step to become an eagle that will have no problems being on her own . Watching this family has been a joy . M15 picked the right mate. F23 was a great first-time mom to E23.Seeing all of them on the same branch was truly beautiful 😍 Fly safe, sweet one. We will miss you. Thank you, Lady Hawk, for leading us through the episode of M15 , F23, and E23. It was wonderful to watch this nest with few worries 😊

forgot to add that I believe E23 has been the best trained. Maybe it was the diff cameras, but something seemed different. She advanced and aced all the challenges so quickly. May God bless you in your life ahead.

Agree. M&F began getting in sync last year and F got an eyeful of what to expect inthefuture. E followed along like a champ...excellent little student.❤

It never gets easier. Each year it hurts, and mixed happiness for their journey. I will never get over us losing Harriet. But, it part of nature I am reminded. Still All our euphoria ends the same. Pray for good productive lives. ❤️
It is true that the pasture has been entirely too quiet without E23’s glorious squeeing heard far and wide. If it’s truly goodbye it is with a a heart tug of loss together with best wishes wherever you fly, E23. Sometimes we get lucky and an adventurous E will return for a bit before the final fly away, and perhaps E23 will grace us once more. We can only wait with love and wonder, and take our lead from M15 and F23, who know for sure if this is the end of our journey this season. Very near the time when others have left. If so, it’s been a wonderful season without sadness. New mom has done great, M always does and they raised a strong, smart, healthy, confident eaglet. 🦅❤️

Once E23 started missing food deliveries from mom and dad I knew it was time for me to start cutting back on how often I check the cams. This is always a really emotional time for me as I begin to worry and wonder if our E is ok. It comforts me to some degree to know that M15 and F23 have done everything possible to prepare E23 for life beyond the nest.🩵🩵🩵🦅🦅🦅🦅

This is my 1st season of watching this Glorious Eagles family . E23 and the family had touched my heart and very lecturing for me as well. Learning Eagles is very rewarding. They are just Humans ❤ F23 and M15 had raised a beautiful Eaglet .May God shower E23 some plenty of food , protection, health as she starts her new journey.

I’m the same Melinda. This is my first season with this nest. I started with Jackie and Shadow 2 years ago but they’re eggs were never viable. And so, RUclips led me to this nest and it has been so joyful and learned a lot as well. Sad to see her go but it is what they are born to be “free”. Fly like an eagle 🦅

In my opinion, E22 was more advanced since we saw him catch a fish ,and grew up without a mom they had to learn fast how to defend their food and nest. M15 is a hero eagle daddy he worked so hard providing for their babies. ❤

Yeah, with all those crazy obnoxious intruders hanging out with E21 & E22 on the nest, nipping at them, stealing their food! Terrible indeed!! But gave them HUGELY valuable lessons early on due to the unfortunate disappearance of Mama Harriet and an overworked but strong daddy M15 who persevered to get those babies to fledgling. Awesome!!!❤
Is so bittersweet to see E-23 leaving for good, every year I'm not ready to see the Es leave the nest but I know that's life, she's ready for her journey in life and I enjoyed every day seeing her growing so fast and with her squeak alerts and when she arrives to the nest,she will be miss. E23 looks like a magnificent eagle. I have been watching this can since 2020. When the E's fly away for good, it's expected.
Tears of happiness coupled with realization E23 is (likely) heading off on its own adventures. What a season.

Awe Lady Hawk. You've brought us another great season of Eagles! I've been watching since E9 I believe and I've loved it, good and bad. I'm still amazed every year at the parents devotion and loving ways and how much they work together to bring up their young. All the antics of the eaglets and them growing so very fast from a white bobblehead to a majestic eagle! I find myself watching the skies a lot while driving to see if I can spot a Eagle in flight. I'm so much more aware of all wildlife because of the Eagles! Thank you Lady Hawk for bringing so much joy and contentment into my life. To think I've missed out so much during life about the world around us. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you for enriching my life!

Thank you Lady Hawk for this video of our sweet E23❤️🙏🥰🦅. I always hate it when it’s actually time or even close to the time for an Eaglet to leave the nest and go live its life. These are the times of each season when I get emotional and I know I’ll never forget E23 like I haven’t forgotten the last couple of seasons Eaglets too.❤️🙏🦅. I just hope E23 will do great out in the world and show those other Eagles and birds who’s boss.😂 I still keep checking the nest tree at the top where E23 usually perches for the night but I’m never sure if it’s her or just a limb with leaves that take the shape of an Eaglet or not.
