As someone who has gotten a haircut (high & tight) using a straight razor for the sides, there's just nothing comparable. It's the best shave you could possibly get. Absolutely no irritation or ingrown hairs versus electric clippers. And this guy got his whole head and face done. As an added bonus, he'll be able to forecast the weather for the next three months. Once you get over the initial panic of "am I gonna be Sweeney Todd'ed?!", it's a very relaxing experience.
Damn, that's the most complete service I've seen at a barber. Hair, beard, nose hair, eyebrows, skin cleansing, moisturizing, chiropractoring and a scalp massage.
@@GNMbgNot exactly. Their regular razors last just as long and are technically cheaper than traditional ones. But! The blades that traditional razors use are 10-20x cheaper. So, overall, actually using a traditional safe razor is way cheaper, that's why they don't advertise those. Also, they shave better, but it's a bit easier to cut yourself with those.
I can't believe this is real. Incredible. I shaved my brother's head every week for maybe five years. I got my razor very sharp after all that practice. But never as sharp as video and never that skilled. I can't believe he didn't cut him with his swirling strokes. Thanks from Texas!
I've never shaved mine completely off, but ever since my little brother had some stubborn lice a few years ago and I told the barber to give me a 1 because he also got all his hair shaved off, I've just had my hair shaved all the way down every to a 1 blade every couple of months

Fellas, this is what your girlfriends and wives call dermaplaning. It really does feel nice to have that dead skin scraped off with a sharp razor. Hell of a lot cheaper this way than what your girl pays to have it done.
I didn't even know it was possible to do a whole haircut with a straight razor, nor to remove dead skin, like a facial or something. This is a level of skill that is completely unmatched. Who is this goat of straight razors?
With those straight razor skills you must be Pai Mei's understudy! Did he teach you the five point palm exploding heart technique too? You are, without a doubt, the best straight razor slinger I've ever seen! Incredible skill!
Similar videos I watch, people shave incredibly slow, like 1/2 inch strokes. This master scalps people with 1 stroke. If all barbers were this fast, I wouldn't mind them so much.
I opened the video thinking it was a video of cutting a piece of bread into decorative slices, but it was a video of how to shave the head until it looked like smooth bread dough.
Getting a close shave like that is one thing, but it's a veritable art form to use a straight razor to accomplish it. The speed at which the barber is able to do it is impressive in and of itself!
Such a great feeling shaving with as straight razor, never shaved my head with one but it's quite cathartic having a routine as opposed to knocking out a shave in 2 min with a safety blade.
The fact you didn't accidentally cut him feels like a miracle! Seeing how sharp the razor must be when you cut his hair then how it kept catching on his skin as you were scraping it gave me the heeby jeebies!
If doing that, I'd be worried about the blade catching on a skin bump and slicing into the scalp. Very skilled to shave that fast. I wish the description had more info like what was the purpose of this full shave- like was it a special occasion or something he just likes to get periodically.
"skin bump" LOL!! "slicing into the scalp" bwahaha saying it out loud sounds ridiculous and made me laugh...i was concerned about his scalp clitoris when the barber was shaving over it!!
