  • ARNE's second London pop-up, located outside the Quadrant Arcade on Regent Street, opened this morning at 10 am. The North England brand, established since 2018, gained a loyal following during the pandemic for its reasonable pricing and minimalist aesthetic. The Hoxton Trend visited to see what the buzz was about, and we were impressed. Stay tuned for our full video coverage. The event runs from March 23 to 24, 2024. Check out their Instagram for more details.

    Axel Arigato and Off White source their shoes from Portugal, wouldn’t be shocked if they’re the same vendor tbh.
    I used to work at George at ASDA in their supply chain dept and I remember years ago (10+) we had a supplier showcase day and some of our vendors for denim were the same as Levi’s, just cut and styled differently…

    Look forward to seeing this video, whilst I agree with the title. It’s like every other business especially since Covid. You need to move with what the market wants and be flexible, maybe re-look at overheads and profit levels if you want to stick around. Every other business in other industries are doing it, look at new technology and trade smarter/leaner.

    You are a £1000 a month for a cupboard in London could you imagine the rent for a store in the centre. Crazy.🙏

  • @RajRohitful
    @RajRohitful 4 дня назад

    I think the problem with vacant stores (not being leased/rented) is happening in central business districts across major cities in the world. Covid was probably one of the main reasons. This shifted the purchasing habits of consumers to online shopping.

    Gotta say for me SI & the others is wearing off a bit, it’s all the snides that these little rats are wearing they bought from markets like Pitsea in Essex, it’s criminal what they blatantly sell on there 😂
    I’m mainly wearing Ten C, Goldwin & mixing that up with CP bits I got, also I have de-badged my SI bits but not the ghost pieces, good video mate 👍🏼 keep ‘em coming ✌🏼

    Why do the luxury brands put the price points so high? In Economics they explain certain goods are 'giffen' goods, which means that the higher the price the higher the demand (usually with normal goods the higher the price the lower the demand!). Reason being that a higher price connotates higher quality and prestige and exclusivity etc. Now, thats theoretical and actually the higher the price the higher the demand up to a certain level after which it would go down (like a normal good). So for instance if we talk about a designer shoes, perhaps up to £1000 the demand would actually go up, but if the price was put up to £20,000 demand would go to 0 (well perhaps some kleptocrat would buy his wife a pair but 0 demand for all intents and purposes). Now the designers we talk about like LVMH group ones etc, seem to have put the prices so high that its absurd and I wonder if they haven't gone way over that point where the demand just collapses. Tbh I thought that had happened a couple of decades ago, but I think the boom in oligarch money from Russia, China especially meant these goods were still bought at higher and higher prices. Do you think this collapse in luxury retail, is partly due to issues in Russia, ie sanctions on Russian oligarchs, and limiting mobility and money movement between there and the west. Also perhaps a Chinese slowdown with their crazy property market imploding? Also I read some articles saying young Chinese are not so interested in designer clothing like their parents generation who lived in a closed communist society. Instead their tastes are changing to something more similar to the west ie young people want to travel, spend on other experiences etc. Be interested to hear your thoughts esp. as you are interested in investment more recently)

    Designer clothes are all too much for me now unless theres a 75% sale on I'm priced out the market. Also i live in Coventry which is a very rough city theres no point spending multi hundreds on clothing and sneakers when there's nothing but druggies and spit everywhere you walk here.

    Hox- been with you when you first started. But let's be real-
    If Arne had the same craftsmanship as a Louis Vuitton or Gucci, Givenchy, Versace, they would be charging the same price as the luxury brand.
    You don't go from first class down to Economy m8

      All these instagram brands are all the exact same stuff with their tags and logos put on it, obviously they are gonna sell it at a “reasonable price” because nobody would buy it if they didn’t and they are literally making it for dirt cheap because the quality is very low, it’s no better than Zara, they just market it like it’s high end

    Nah bled ima still rock my s i bits! I’ve got a crinkle reps jacket that’s nearly 10 years old and it still looks fresh! And the craftsmanship on my nylon raso is different level.. theirs levels you see when it comes to how long garmz will last and still look good.. the key is to never pay rrp tho and just wait for the sales and then strike when you see a piece at a price that’s just too good to turn down! Ya get me bled!!!

      SI is now owned by Moncler and the prices have rocketed and the quality and designs are much worse. No one with a brain is oaying rrp on SI now if they’ve been buying it long term.
      Plurimus shits on SI nowadays for design, materials and price point.

      well with 500K followers and a full queue of people buying their items, and most importantly it's fairly priced, speak for yourself and the few that agree you, it's not going to change that they are one of the fatest growing brands in the UK. Trust pilot reviews paint a different picture - au.trustpilot.com/review/arneclo.com?page=87 problem is some of you hate things that are not what YOU like, understand that YOUR opinion is not the only one that counts, their are other people around with different tastes and requirements, Not everyone wants to spend 2000£ on a tshirt.
