My reaction was the opposite. I had it ingrained so deeply that I'm worthless that I have no hope of ever feeling differently. Even knowing full well now that it was a childhood of abuse and it's not true, no matter what happens in my life 20+ years later that should logically prove it wrong, I can't get rid of that feeling. I wholly accepted it as a child because it was all I knew and I've spent my entire life too terrified to every try anything because it would surely end in failure and prove my family right. I'm 31 now and I've never lived, I just... exist.
With all this time wasted,
