Thank you for watching our video.
No, one of the benefits of the Golden Visa in Spain is that it there are no stay requirements.
You have to enter the country only to renew the Golden Visa.

Hi, thanks for a nice video. If a non-EU buyer will acquire a residential property in Spain for EUR 500k or more, he would be eligible for a Spanish “Golden Visa”, which would allow him to live in Spain and become a Spanish resident including for tax purposes. How would his rental income be taxed in such case?

      Thanks for your comment.
The Golden Visa in Spain allows any type of real estate investment (commercial, residential, industrial, land...) as long as the investment is greater than 500,000€.
The Golden Visa allows you to choose whether you want to become a tax resident in the country or not. If you spend less than 183 days a year in Spain, you don't have to be tax resident in the country. If you want to live in Spain (over 183 days a year), you will be considered tax resident in the country.
In any case, the rental income obtained from the property in Spain will always be taxed in Spain:
      - Non Resident: fixed 24% on income
      - Non Resident EU citizen: fixed 19% on income
      - Resident in Spain: ranges from 19-47% on profit (not income).
