  • I made some terrible life and career choices suring medical school and when I graduated from med school that almost ruined my career even before it started. In this video, I share all the plans I made while I was in medical school and the poor decisions I made that have set me 3 years backward. I got distracted along the line and I was afraid. I let fear overcome me and I was hoping you could learn from my lesson and do better.

If it’s something you still want to pursue, you can still do it! Plans delayed doesn’t mean it’s denied. You’ll be more competitive with all this experience you have gained now and working in the UK will help with the finances but follow your heart
    Congratulations on not giving up!
Tbh we can never be too prepared, life will be life
You said you’re preparing for 2 exams so hopefully step 1 is part of it.. I don’t think you made any terrible choice, you’re doing really really well! Our stories and journeys are all peculiar

2019, when you got sidetracked from pursuing residency in the U.S. was the beginning of the SARS CoV2 pandemic. I guess that it greatly upset your ability to pursue that path.

Oh yes it greatly did but looking back. I could have used that time to prepare for the exams and not just give up.

I don't believe that there is anything like bad choices. The choices we make is based on the level of mental maturity we had, when we made them. No man is the God of his life. I also wanted to follow the usa track. Little did I know God wanted me in ministry. Even though I was passionate about it, I had to let it go and let God lead my life. Now looking back, I'm glad I didn't follow through. If I had followed us track, the time required of me at work, will kill every other area of my life I was passionate about. Now I own my time and In control of what i do with my time. My plan was going to place me on salary in the USA but God's plan had made me the one paying others salary. God's plan is always the best.
