For someone who emphasizes value-for-money over brand recognition, at first I felt it'd be a no brainer to choose Alza over Veloz, but after this video, I'm beginning to give due consideration to Veloz despite the 20k increase. Can't wait to test drive so see if the slightly higher ground clearance would make a significant difference with the driving dynamics. P/s: I notice the centre console also has that awkward empty space just like Alza 🤦♂️
i would get this over the alza simply for the telescopic adjustable steering! more cars should have this. it makes a HUGE difference for longer drives.
Interior ambient lighting, DRL , 17 inch rim, auto ac, both front door handle support keyless smart entry, wireless Apple carplay, telescopic steering wheel, unique own design rear lamp + headlamp damn this is better than (Aruz vs Rush) that have just little different but big price gap. tbh Veloz seems like still "make sense" to buy over alza. Remark=of course all that thing is not worth RM20K compare with perodua twin but yeah why not haha
for those who want to buy xpander and brv, take a look at veloz, same price with those 2 but much2 value for money, safety, fuel consumption, comfort, and futuristic(but i wonder, what will happen to rush?), for those who said" better buy alza la, cheaper 20k" sure bought it la, what to shout? alza is for thinner pocket people while veloz is for catching xpander n brv buyer, well if wan safe that 20k, why dont safe 30k for buying used aruz, safety is identical yet safe 30k, use the money to modi it then comfort will be on par thats my opinion, wan to safe money? buy aruz, wan to use all money, buy veloz
Definitely worth the extra 20k for the Veloz. It has an overall more refined and better finished product, and not to mention the correct ride height for such an MPV, and not forgetting that all important Toyota branding!
Here in the Philippines we got downgraded Variant of Veloz Compared to you in Malaysia, We dont get Adaptive Cruise Control or I should say Cruise Control does not come standard, Fog lights instead of of DRLs, Infotainment screen is very basic looking but with Wired carplay and android auto. PH specific change only is the addition of Black plastic moulding for the fenders to look more SUV, it is marketed here as an SUV, while its inferior brother avanza marketed as an MPV. LOL
the lack of space to keep my keys, receipt, TNG, access cards, and drinks in the interior cockpit compartment deters me to pull the trigger. Long distance I tend to keep one coffee and one mineral water at my reach when driving. One cup holder is not enough for me. As for other rings and bells, they are nice to have when compare to my current car, but not too essential. Hence, I will wait for the next face lift and see due to me not desperate for a car now. It is a fair price. But if I really do desperate for one, I would go for alza H specs instead. The interior cockpit space bugs me more than not having acc.
I’m noticed that Alza second row middle seat doesn’t have a head rest, thought that Veloz will get it since Indonesia & Philippine version have… but Malaysia’s Veloz omitted this out..
I’m a owner of a BMW 530i m sport, Honda civic v,Volkswagen cc TSI, Hilux v *my parents one but they gave to me* My previous Avanza is good condition but the Alza came I love that car but the veloz came more good and touch the class I think it is a top notch the exterior and interior I decided to not buy the alza and buy the Veloz instead. But it is a good lookin mpv
how is the dashcam? good? SA said front cam is default. back cam is optional addon. how about window tint? come default with purchase? good to filter heat?
Opened up the front hatch and noticed the front collision zones are thinly reinforced. Like sardine cans. What are those thin rwinforcements. Please check it out.
No auto door lock button the nerve. Better roads in Malaysia once again Sarawak is forgotten. No knee airbag so only 6 airbags. Bugger your knees if you got an accident😅
There is central locking, of course. There's just no dedicated button for it like on the Alza. You have to use the small rocker latch next to the inner door handles in the Veloz.
I test drove the test unit, and doors auto locks itself as I drove it out the showroom...and the Toyota sales guy also confirms door autolock function..there's also a door auto lock settings ( from the multi info display) where you can select auto lock/unlock by speed , gear position or ignition settings

it's finally here it's almost a month since order books was opened it looks fantastic to be honest

i second this

Additional RM130 per month can own a Toyota. More advance but cheaper than Xpander.
Unlimited mileage warranty compared to Alza 150k mileage
@@akekun1983 how long is the warranty ?
@@chantakzee 5 years or 150km
5 years unlimited mileage warranty
After test driving the Alza, you can't help but feel corners were cut in order to deliver it at that price range.
There are 2 Veloz cars in this showroom, the blue one is reviewed by Pau Tan, and the other red one is reviewed by YS Khong...on the same day...cheers

Always so nice presentation. Well done
Treat it like a top spec Alza and you will understand the premium. Since Veloz at Indonesia do have it's identical triplets, Avanza, Xenia and Veloz.
Long story short. If you want a budget MPV, choose Alza. If you want to enjoy the deluxe version of Alza, choose Veloz.
Definitely worth the extra 20k for the Veloz. It has an overall more refined and better finished product, and not to mention the correct ride height for such an MPV, and not forgetting that all important Toyota branding!
The steering wheel where alza got an advantage is the PVM dedicated button where as Veloz is blank switch despite equip with PVM.

For 20k more, it should have used the 1.8l engine
Very fluent presentation and full of information. Thanks

Awesome, thank you for the reviews bro

Adding the head rest would cost RM20k more...
Never considered the Alza nor Toyota. But you got me interested to go check it out Hafiz💪😀
I am in love with my dad's blue Toyota veloz 😍
Xpander gg liao la… how to fight with this price tag and super packed features
I guess to have the wireless Android Auto and phone charging are worth to pay extra for but RM20 K... hmmm need to calculate the costs for the extras.
already have ordered the silver one.
Ph and other country waiting for plug-and-play steering parts for Adaptive Cruise Control similar from Malaysia's Veloz :D
Veloz is alza super duper top spec
no power boot? the most important feature to me as a family car.
Apple carplay alone makes the veloz price tag justifiable.
missing the roof top monitor....😅
how is the dashcam? good? SA said front cam is default. back cam is optional addon.
how about window tint? come default with purchase? good to filter heat?
Does the veloz comes with a factory installed dashcam just like the alza?
Yes
I think alza is the better looker here. Many might disagree but the alza have cleaner lines.
I notice the a/c control despite having auto function, lacking front defogger and leg blower.
this is a bit pricey as compared to Alza (obviously) BUT, still worth it. I'm still not a big fan of it's back design...
yea, the rear looks ugly
Missing roof monitor? 🫠
With the additional RM20k, it will be good to have (Alza AV + 1.5 turbo). Definitely will be most welcome.
Toyota doesn't have 1.5T engine except the one using on GR yaris which is not a normal engine to be use on family car
Long time waited ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
it's almost a month since june 23rd finally it's here and you're gonna planning one
daym..hafriz got that new iphone 14 pro 👀
Savage 3:27 hafriz honest car reviewer
this is actually an Alza Max Pro Model
Hrg berbeza spec berbeza u get what u pay😎
Are all the seat backs as short as in the Alza?
telescopic steering?
If you hv the extra 20k cash ... u can opt in this premium Flagship ALza 😁
Save 20k and buy alza
The transmission is different from Alza D-CVT Vs Veloz 7 Speed CVT
Didn't have rear LCD screen, Philipine spec veloz
So much better value..
Hafriz setiap tahun tukar fone eh 😂
Opened up the front hatch and noticed the front collision zones are thinly reinforced. Like sardine cans.
What are those thin rwinforcements.
Please check it out.
Much better looking than the Alza
It's not 'missing' at the alza but u need to pay additional 20k for something look like better but actually useless material at the car.
20k + just for the paying the brand.. 🤭 veloz vs alza?..its your choice.. quality almost same.. pay more or saving?.. 🤔
I just came back from the show room and the quality is not the same bro
Thanks you, Good info...
Is it necessary to wear a mask??
I'm a cheapskate China man hence I'm getting the Alza to save 20k
Better roads 😄
Not in Sabah/Sarawak
Malaysia did have better road than our Asean neighbors, believe it or not. disagree all u want, if u think our roads is bad, others are worst
I think the road condition in Thailand is better than ours in Malaysia.
Say no to fake alza and 'premium' avanza. An overpriced budget innova
No engine cover
Veloz = Alza Max Plus
No auto door lock button the nerve. Better roads in Malaysia once again Sarawak is forgotten. No knee airbag so only 6 airbags. Bugger your knees if you got an accident😅
I test drove the test unit, it seems it has auto lock function as the doors automatically locks when I drove it out the showroom
toyota best
Imagine paying 95K but no central locking what a joke
but you can press manual from the driver's door
I thought Toyotas usually put their central locking switch near the window switches. If there isn't, then it is sttange.
There is central locking, of course. There's just no dedicated button for it like on the Alza. You have to use the small rocker latch next to the inner door handles in the Veloz.
Not a big deal if it's really not there. A big deal is when 130k cars but still use foot brake?? *ahem
I test drove the test unit, and doors auto locks itself as I drove it out the showroom...and the Toyota sales guy also confirms door autolock function..there's also a door auto lock settings ( from the multi info display) where you can select auto lock/unlock by speed , gear position or ignition settings
Why the mask???
Ugly looking car.
Hrg berbeza spec berbeza u get what u pay😎
