  • Hello! I’m John Russell.
Let’s continue our exploration of common words, phrases, and questions.
In recent lessons, we have explored the questions ‘How are you?’ and ‘How are you doing?’ as well as the response ‘I am well’ or ‘I am doing well.” We have also learned about greetings - saying hello and introducing yourself.
Let’s take some time work with all of these structures.
We will begin with a warm up by saying all of the questions and responses slowly. Listen to me and then repeat:
    [LIsten]
    How are you?
    Speak:
    ___________
    [Listen]
    How are you doing?
    Speak:
    ___________
    {Listen}
    I am well
    Speak:
    __________
    [Listen:]
    I am doing well.
    [Speak:]
    ____________
Now let’s put ourselves in a real-life situation. imagine that we are having a discussion. How should you respond?
    Hello! How are you doing?
Here is how you could answer the question. When I said this:
    Hello! How are you doing?
    You could have said this:
Hello! I am doing well. How are you doing?
Of course, there are other possible answers. But this is one nice way to respond.
Future lessons will explore more common words, phrases, and questions. Keep up the good work!
