Actually, diligently farming mosquito larvae is a good way to control mosquito populations. They’ll find some place to breed anyway so it is better that they lay their eggs somewhere they will never have a chance to reach adulthood. I bet if everyone farm mosquito larvae for fish, they would go extinct.
Yea never thought about it that way until now this is how we as humans should approach overpopulation of species, use them to our advantage and create a valuable product in the proccess. There is 110 trillion mosquitoes that is more than enough to probably last us well into maybe 30 years before they went extinct which is amazing.

My fish are happy with the daily feeding of mosquito larvae. I keep my larvae in different drinking containes ( plastic) at different stages of development. This way I can feed the fry and also the adult fish with large larvae. HAPPY MOSQUITO DAY

I never use a yeast method, I just have a pot of water with a bit of aquarium soil at the bottom and some aquarium plants for growing no fish in it under a shade outside ( thought it does receive some evening direct sunlight), very little algae and some surviving ram snails which I never feed them, always get mosquito larvaes growing there, every couple weeks I just put some lucky guppies inside for them to feast!

@@HobbyTVMarc I live in sri lanka. It's a tropical island. won't be difficult to culture mosquito larvae but we are fined if public health inspectors find mosquito larvae lol. There have been deaths related to dengue fever.that's the issue.I can carefully farm them but will be risky. About dumbo mossaic guppies, only males are issued to the local market to prevent people breeding them reducing their market value. Importing few pairs would be the choice i guess :/

This seems like a good idea until you realize that they are mosquito larvae. It's like having a tiger in your house, at some point it's going to bite you.
Actually they will not if you just collect all of their egg raft and feed them ro your fish by batch,,, only it depends on you how you handle them,,,and in fact it will lessen the mosquito lurking in your area because you are baiting/controlng them to lay eggs on your culture tank which directly go to your fish mouth, unlike letting them lay in diff. Area whch brings out of your control
Normal feeding is everyday,,but just feed them when the water is already clear,if its still unclear,it means you have feed them too much! Just adjust it time to time,hehe

It worked. The mosquito larve are stanting to hatch. They are very tiny, if you can catch them would be good for the fry.

Mosquitos lay as many as 300 eggs. One "serving" to your fish = killing 300 future flying mosquitos. It's appreciated.
