Slate is one of those young geldings you will search a life time to find. They just don’t come built like him, with his size, looks, pedigree, mind and ability! Slate is a 4 year old AQHA registered gelding that stands right at 15.1 hh and is quiet and gentle! In the arena Slate stands to be mounted, walks off nicely every time you swing a leg over him, has a nice jog, lopes nice correct collected circles, takes his leads, rides on a loose rein, has a nice stop, neck reins, knows leg cues, bends and flexes at the poll and backs up well. He is bred to be a performance horse with Bart Bartender (World Show qualifier with AQHA points in 5 events) and Two ID Bartender!! Slate has also been ridden outside and crosses water, goes up and down the hills through the rough terrain, over the logs and through the woods. He has been used to check cattle as well. He is quiet and gentle, loves attention, is easy to catch, stands tied all day, stands to be brushed, saddled, and bridled. He is an in your pocket type horse, is easy to handle his feet, stands good for the farrier and veterinarian, loads and hauls well, is good in a stall or pastures well with both mares and geldings.
