- I say this is beautiful and touching and this is what the band said: Now this is one of those beautiful, classic Dolly Parton songs. This has long been a favorite of ours, and we felt there was nobody better in the biz to enlist to sing it with us than Maggie Baugh. After filming the video together, we had such a good time that we had to invite her on tour too!

What a beautiful song. Home Free did a great rendition. This one gets me in the feels too. Nice to be introduced to another country talent in Maggie Baugh. She has a really nice voice & enjoy her playing the violin/fiddle. The guys are great about sharing the spotlight with other artists. Dolly Parton originally recorded & performed this song with Kris Kristofferson in the 2012 movie "Joyful Noise". The following year, she re-recorded the tune with Willie Nelson.

Such a sweet song. So beautifully done by the boys. They added Maggie Baugh. She has a beautiful voice and I loved the violin. I loved the moon too and the video. Loved Tim and Austin’s solos. Austin (the redhead) sang higher than Maggie at one point. I could see that it moved you. Good reaction Squirrel. 😪

Maggie will be touring with them shortly. She has a great voice. In the tight acapella community way Homefree won the Sing-Off 4th season having recently added Austin Brown their high tenor and recruited their current baritone, Adam Chance from another acapella band, Streetcorner Symphony based in Nashville a few years later.
Have you done their Man of Constant Sorrow rendition yet? If not I would highly recommend it.

This definitely hit me hard emotionally. Lost my 4 week old granddaughter the day this song was released. Maggie Baugh singing and violin playing was fantastic. It added so much to this Dolly Parton song. There are parts of her voice that definitely remind you of Dolly. Home Free another home run of a song. Great reaction by you. I'm so sad about the loss of your granddaughter. This song has made me cry every time I've listened to it. I just can't watch the video again. I had a wonderful childhood, but maybe it makes me sad because I've gotten old & it seems like only yesterday I was that age with all my stuffed animals since I was an only child! What I find so beautiful is when you have your headphones on, you recognize all the great voices separately, even though they sing in such awesome harmony. Really beautiful lead, but also the background vocal which gives it such a feel-good feeling. Each voice gives a certain value to the song. The vocal percussion is so good, not to mention the violin playing. 🥰 Everything is perfect.
The video reminds me of my oldest child/daughter. She also had a stuffed animal from birth. Now she's 33 and she still has that stuffed animal. Those memories brought me a tear when I heard this song. How time flies when I look at my four children. All four grown up. My loves whom I love so much. From here to the moon and back!

I’m new here. Found you via Home Free. First, I am so sorry about your dog. Our pets are part of our family, and it’s hard after they’ve passed, too. Second, no worries on getting emotional. The guys know how to hit us in the feels, women and men. It happens to the best of us. There’s nothing wrong with it. It shows you’re human and have feelings. I love honest emotions. This cover is one of their best, so far, in my opinion. I always appreciate a guest appearance, and an instrument now and then. Maggie and her violin were perfect for this song.
