the scampi and lemon were discontinued in 2008 and brought back in 2022. didn't often see nik naks during that period, always been a favourite of mine although I haven't eaten as many bags as I probably should have because I couldn't find the multipacks until last year or the year before. there are quite a few morish mild spicy corn snacks here, used to be the 10p golden wonder ones along with space raiders too
The other you mentioned, they're just tubes of wholegrain with the seasoning. decent enough but again I haven't seen them in yonks

A day late but.The smaller bags for Nike naks have more in them than other crisps and are cheaper (the price has gone up £1.25for the big bags now) so you get a whole lot more if you buy 3 smaller bags for the cost of the big one.

over the years, with crisps, being a satple snack, there have been many companies do them
through the 70s and 80s, the rivalry was really betweem smith crisps and golden wonder, and the later walkers captured the market and became the biggest.
My favourite crisp and you don see now was bovril
roysters tends to be a low budget cheaper pricer crisp, not by much if sold singular, but the multi packs are a cheaper alternative, depending what part the uk, and store they are bought in

A lot of countries typically make crisp or "chip" flavours catered to what their majority and minority groups have a common familiar taste, for or eat in their day to day meals etc a lot of US crisp flavours are centered towards the Mexican minority population and what's generally eaten from state to state. Over here just like every where else it's also done we have some Indian based flavours of crisps too as South West Asians are one of many minority population groups here too.

during the war nothing went to waste so my grandparents told me not even potato peelings, good ones were shallow fried and then drizzled with salt, i even tried it and they pretty good taste like ready salted crisps, so i ground some crispy bacon in a salt grinder added that to it and they taste great, you might want to try it i used peel from Yukon gold potato's but most potato peels work its all down to the frying and thickness of peel.
