Thanks! Yep, this pattern is very easy to wear and beautiful. I didn't end up trying the Simplicity version. I drafted my own pull-over dress versions of this one. They're very cute but not as elegant as this Butterick vintage pattern. it's just so lovely. Highly recommend.
Thanks. It's been a while since I made this but - each cuff has 4 parts. Inside front, sid- that-shows front, inside back, side-that-shows back. Sew the fronts together, sew the backs together. Clip corners, turn out to the correct side, press with iron. Pin the front half of the cuff to the sleeve end front, back half to the back. machine sew. Tuck under the other seam allowance and hand stitch into place. Hope that helps.
I am surprised that the dress looks so good as I was put off when I saw the pattern with that unusual front and back seam. Your flare and its great. It doesnt look so uncormfortable made up. It makes a change this style. Which Perfect Jacket will you wear with it? Thanks for sharing your fab sewing ....
I've wanted to make this for a while but kept putting it off. I loved this video you dress looks fabulous so now I'm going to get some fabric and give it a go xxxx
Once the cuff is made, it has 2 raw edges which can be confusing. Think of it like a shirt collar. You have to sew the inside front cuff (or the under collar) to the front of the sleeve but you have to leave the raw edge from the outer front cuff free (on a collar that part s=is called the upper collar). Then you tuck up the unsewed/raw edge side up inside the cuff/sleeve and hand stitch it into place. The cuff sits back on the sleeve, not down on the arm, so you might be trying to put the left cuff on the right sleeve, and the right on the left. That might be the confusion.
Beautiful dress
Thank you so much 🌸🥰👗🌷🧵
Thank you, Fin! So cute, even more than I expected. How will it compare to the Simplicity version? Staying tuned...

Is it not so beautiful. I love vintage. Keep inspiring.
Thanks!
I actually like that the orange petticoat peeked through! I though it was some cool ombre effect of the fabric!
Thank you! It's growing on me too. 🌸🧵👗🌷🎨
Can you show a more detailed video on the cuffs please

Your instructions are amazingly clear. I prefer linings to facing and bias tape also and I really appreciate you step-by-steping it. Thanks you!!!
You are so welcome! Glad it was helpful. 🌸🌷👗🧵🌻

Thanks! The cuffs on the sleeves are a bit fussy. I think I'll just wear a cardigan or a coat over it, not a jacket.
Thank you so much for reply I can't seem to figure out to do cuffs I'm still trying to figure it out ❤
No worries!

Awesome! It does look a bit odd when it's in pieces but it turns out so pretty. Go for it! 🌸👗
I have the cuffs made but I'm geting it hard to sew them to sleeve that's what I can't figure out

How do you get in and out of this dress? No zipper?
yes, this dress pattern has a side closure/zipper.
