There is an app called judo in brief.. has all the terminology plus illustrations of the techniques.. but take into consideration that bjj ground techniques are many times the direct reflection of standing judo techniques.. like sumi gaeshi/ butterfly sweep for example, osoto gari and osoto gari from the knees and many others.. ground techniques/ newaza are just the same.. in my opinion understanding the judo origin gives more sense to what you are doing.. like judo is mostly standing and you can see the techniques in full but bjj is mostly ground work and the techniques are modified for it, but still the dynamic is the same.. you still need kuzuchi and all the other judo principles.. it’s all Japanese jujutsu at the end..
Great info, this will help my game. Thanks
Great points here!
Could you recommend an online source to learn common Japanese/grappling terminology?
This Wikipedia page helped me a lot. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_judo_techniques
@@FTSJJ thank you very much
