- Boston College battled back from an early deficit, but it was North Carolina who shined in the fourth quarter, winning 12-11 to cap off their undefeated season with a title. Sam Geiersbach led the Tar Heels with three goals, while Taylor Moreno came up big in the net with 11 saves. Watch the championship highlights here.

I don’t really watch lacrosse but that was an incredible game by both teams!
What an entertaining game, only to be topped by the spirit to win that the UNC women displayed all season long.

this unc team came so close to win a national championship ever since their last natty win in 2016, to think that they only have 3 nattys but are loaded with talent
Im played lac in 70s 80s. Mens lax is nothing now. Theyve got those sticks that cant lose the ball and theres none of the agility like back in day.

Throwing your stick after every goal might be the most annoying thing I have ever seen in the history of sports.
Refs have to check the sticks after scores to make sure they are legal, its just an easy way to celebrate and let the refs do what they have to do.

Do every single girl celebration start with throwing away their stick 😂
They do it so a ref can do a stick check. If any part of the stick is deemed illegal, the goal doesn't count.

@@ce5779 @RunZe William Wei women's lacrosse has different rules than men's lacrosse. The rule is after every goal the ref must check the stick. If the the stick is deemed illegal (could be various reasons) then the goal doesn't count like E stated ^^. It's a rule that ends up being the start of their celebration most times!
@@ce5779 The refs check the players' stick pockets after every goal. If the pocket is not at a certain depth, the goal does not count. It is very rare for that to happen though, essentially all goals count. Hope that helps. Sure it is a celebration but they have to drop their sticks anyways.

By the way, she is a great player and wondering how being named Charlotte North she didn't end up going to Carolina? 😆

Because when taking the draw you can feel when the other person has it due to the fact that the ball is like deeper into their stick. Btw Charlotte North is amazing, and when she was going to college the only team that even gave her a shot was Duke, then she transferred to Boston College. UNC completely missed the best player.

That comment wasn't necessary ... athletes are supposed to be vocal on the field. Not sure why everyone feels the need to leave write such negative comments about Charlotte North online. She's an amazing player. It's just a game.

You say athletes are supposed to be vocal on the field but she was the only player screaming during these faceoffs but be that as it may, guess what namesake, fans are SUPPOSED to be supportive, observant and critical of athletes in stadiums and "online." That's what WE do!
She is an amazing player, it is just a game, I'm a UNC alum and fan...and we are the champs!
