Ah, those unsociable 'night jobs' - come rain, fog or snow. Fortunately, not one of those tonight; almost a 'cozy' one instead. Your train shed's interior is beautifully detailed (unlike mine!) and your lighting casts those ghostly shadows I recall so well. Lovely stuff.
Thanks Roger. I used to work on the S&T when I was a teenager in the '70s, we used to do "Pway Sundays" to get some extra money and some of them were nights. A bit grim at the time but in retrospect, those ghostly train movements to mysterious places - etched on the memory...!
Love the night time running, it really changes the mood of the railway. Maybe the engine crew could be supplied with a box of matches, so they can light up the headlamps in the evening?? I know it is difficult with the different headcodes, but I believe it will lift the layout further, if there is illuminated head and tail lamps during the night, and maybe the occasional glow from the ashpan below the engines.
Dumb question time! In what year/decade is this layout signifying? It's definitely post- Webb,so the Whale engines would indicate, and those Ramsbottom engines, also put it pre-WW1! I do know, that in the late 20's,under the LMS,there were wholesale scrapping of LNWR,and L&Y engines! So you have a very definitely period piece as presented, and beautifully done!! Thank you 😇 😊!!
Thanks for your comment, I've thought about doing more construction related content but just haven't got round to it - too busy actually constructing it! However, it is something I wouldn't mind doing. ATB
@@lnwrcrookstreet9954 that’s fair life comes first. If you could do a layout tour that would be enjoyable. Also how your fiddle yard is setup if you have one. Look forward to more videos when you can get them out
Never have I seen a layout which keeps you so immersed within it’s operations. Moreover your voiceovers make the experience so much more enlightening and interactive! My model railway is going to capture the L&NWR during Webb’a rein as CME and I hope I can capture as much depth and detail as you do. Splendid work!

Wonderful atmosphere. The LNWR had such character, and you have portrayed it superbly. Keep the videos coming.
Thanks very much Roderic!
What a nice surprise to brighten the day
Thanks Cleckheaton!

Thanks Rmunk, yeah, there's a few things that really should have lighting, the most embarrassing is the lack of signal lights, one day...
This is wonderful.
Thanks Sean!
Very enjoyable.
Thanks Robert!
Love it keep them coming
Thanks Widey!

It's meant to be 1920 but in typical railway modeller fashion, it's 'flexible', basically to include stuff I like. ATB
Great find coming across this channel. Would you ever do a layout tour/guide and any painting tips or tricks. Your buildings look great.

Thanks Merv, yeah, there's something mysterious and romantic about trains disappearing into the night!
Superb would love to see in real life do you take your railway to shows
Thanks Les, unfortunately it's in a cellar and I can't get it out!

Thanks very much Pan, operation is what it's all about for me. Good luck with your layout - fine choice of era!
