Dude! Clean your soldering iron tip!!!! Get a sponge slightly damp and swipe the tip on it, it's not hard. A clean tip and a bit of fresh solder on it when you are done keeps it like new for a long time.
I think looking carefully they did not, but that's the best method of blowing destroys phones than this method. the components are very intact. There are no components only the blackish ink which seems the same at the start compared to yours at 1:00 the difference is the same. Blow gun shortens the life of a mb especially when in careless hands.
Ok, its called a soldering iron. Also, olease look up a video about how to properly maintain the tip. Soldering irons must be "tinned" in order to work well. It makes soldering much easier! Id suggest looking up some videos in this because it really does make a big difference. Then, use a small damp sponge or wet hand towel or rag to rub the tip against to clean it between soldering steps, this keeps the gunk from building up and also removes the oxidization layer. Thus all will also extend the life if the tip by years. Be careful of adjacent components. You niked the surface mounts abouve this charge port. Easy to brick the pcb this way.
Any idea how I could do this with a 90˚ vertical mount through-pin USB type B? As it is the solder is clogging the holes and I have no idea how to heat them all up without a heat gun. I guess I'm going to have to invest in one.
No. But you have to be careful with this method and try not to damage neighbouring components. Just use kapton tape to cover components like mic and other ics and components And to be as quick as possible, making sure not to overheat Main thing is using low melting solder while removing the connector
That's a soldering wick. If you don't have one you can strip apart an old coax cable (for like old cable tv) and you will find the same exact cable wire within. Make wicks from it.
... Why are you using solder to remove the port when you can just use flux ... And and remove it without burning the board?? I've seen Louise remove components using flux and from my own experience I'm having trouble understanding this method
hello guys, i have a hp spectre laptop but the problem with it its not charging the usb c port is very lose, so i called the call centre they said they should change the whole motherboard because it is directly connected, so i was searching for a usb module so that i can solder it but i have a doubt that can we use any usb module or there should specific ones? if there is any specific ones please let me know
I've been trying to replace chargin ports on LG Aristo 2 I have a heat gun and soldering iron but I don't have any low melt solder I have a flux pen if that helps I haven't tried using the flux One board I got it so messed up I can no longer see the pins I'm lost on that one Another board I did it with the heat gun at a glance it looks at least not a mess but the pins don't really seem to be connected The way I messed up the other one was trying to connect the pins A glob of solder got on there and then I had a struggle trying to remove it then I took the port back off and find that I can no longer find the pins What a mess Replacing charging ports isn't easy I think maybe I should stop trying until I get some low melt solder? I still haven't gotten the technique for this down
you will destroy 4 or 5 charging ports but you will get the hang of the technique automatically. keep watching video tutorials and try to apply them as well
80 watt is good but not the cheap ones on ebay. I've purchased 3 of them. 2 never got hot enough 1 never got hot at all. I know it's not going to be something most people would want to spend too much money on but if you use it more frequently just get a Weller. They always work.
I purchased lot of 80 watt soldering irons but all not working well after i use 12 v soldering pen and computer SMPS power supply and give 16v to 12v soldering pen now it works fine
Flood soldering. That's what Motorola recommended on the 80s 2 way radios for removing hybrid circuits. There's nothing new there Your soldering iron should have a larger tip, but hey ho it works.
Wait I thought the leads should be pressed on the nickel blade and not one on the nickel blade and the other one on the battery as I can see you doing or my eyes are lying to me 🤔🤔🤔🤔

an actual text description of what's happening would go a long way
At 3:35ish, it looks like the electronics above the port get damaged. This method got the job done but not without consequence.

I think that's just flux sucking up some soot into another area.
He visto malas ejecuciones de trabajos, hasta yo he hecho desastres...pero éste chaval me supera,un desastre por donde lo mires.
Extraordinary,, very helpful
I'm already using same method without any loss good result...
Better than smd work.. Use high watt soldering iron
Great 👍
Your idea is very useful for beginners thank you for sharing your tactical....
Thank You Bro
I need this idea👌👌👌
❤❤❤❤❤❤,EXCELLENT WORK BOSS
bad work , microphone is dead bro
Do why?
The flux is not in contact with the microphone
Who tell you that the microphone is dead did you try it ?
depends on what solder he used, if low temp solder then i guess it should be fine otherwise mic isn't the only component getting damaged.
Microphone dead by overheat
Rule of thumb, The less lead or paste u use to get the job done, the better the result would be... 😳👍

Good 👍 work but microphone 99% dead hoga
This idea is useful without hot air, I used the same technique before, but if you have hot air much better..
Nice work especially when you put it back manual
Bhai saab! great job. Keep that solder iron clean for a quality work, after all you're demonstrating your work on RUclips.
I will try my best
Nice tech💓💝💕❤️
Use low melt solderpaste 138 C, or low melting point solder wire. It's easy, fast, cheap and professional.
sir, may i know the flux name for desoldering the " IC "
in the boat sound bar 2050
What's that copper or bronze strip that you used for removing lead? Thanks man.
desoldering wick
or strip a coaxial cable
Desoldering wick. I remember from high school!
Which is the best solder wick to use, I bought some but it doesn't get out of the holes to put the new one in, TIA.
Solder wick is all same it's just copper wire.

Soldering wick

It's working for my phone.Thank U so much.I have no idea for that because I have no hot gun. AWESOME Sir
You are right because there either laptops or mobile phones but a little dose of low melt falls out all good been a tech 40yrs
Thanks bro✅💚

Agreed! Soldering iron tip looks terrible. Sloppy and lazy IMO.
@@Fishbone4u basic stuff, right?
What liquid are you using to clean with the cotton swab?
isopropyl alcohol (propan-2-ol), it's a good cleaner and evaporates fast and doesn't contain any water, unlike ethanol (ethilic alcohol)
I believe it's flux paste. It cleans everything off very well and helps with the adhering process of the fresh solder.
Ah, I stand corrected and now enlightened, thank you Mr. Gonzales2582, much appreciated.
👍 good trick 👌
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉very nice
Very very excellent work sir
Please what is the name of that brush you are using

Hello I have a question. Will the charging connector from Samsung S10 ,S10e,S20 on S20 Fe? Or do such models have identical connectors?
Pretty sure they are all the same as with phones. If they are a USB micro then any USB micro will be the same process. As with usbc, etc.
To desolder just use low melt solder
Soldering rod witch company did you used

Rosin core
