Dude! Clean your soldering iron tip!!!! Get a sponge slightly damp and swipe the tip on it, it's not hard. A clean tip and a bit of fresh solder on it when you are done keeps it like new for a long time.

At 3:35ish, it looks like the electronics above the port get damaged. This method got the job done but not without consequence.

I think looking carefully they did not, but that's the best method of blowing destroys phones than this method. the components are very intact. There are no components only the blackish ink which seems the same at the start compared to yours at 1:00 the difference is the same. Blow gun shortens the life of a mb especially when in careless hands.

Ok, its called a soldering iron. Also, olease look up a video about how to properly maintain the tip. Soldering irons must be "tinned" in order to work well. It makes soldering much easier! Id suggest looking up some videos in this because it really does make a big difference. Then, use a small damp sponge or wet hand towel or rag to rub the tip against to clean it between soldering steps, this keeps the gunk from building up and also removes the oxidization layer. Thus all will also extend the life if the tip by years.
Be careful of adjacent components. You niked the surface mounts abouve this charge port. Easy to brick the pcb this way.

No. But you have to be careful with this method and try not to damage neighbouring components.
Just use kapton tape to cover components like mic and other ics and components
And to be as quick as possible, making sure not to overheat
Main thing is using low melting solder while removing the connector
