You pretty much are doing exactly what I do except these days I usually soak the piece in diluted hydrochloric acid, that makes it really easy and removes all mill scale. So glad to hear you say use the right side of the cup brush, I’ve tried telling this to people for years on plasma forums and been ridiculed for saying so but I know it works, it’s like they don’t get it, the wire rotates into the edge, removes dross and tends to blunt sharp edges, where rotating over it isn’t as effective and tends to sharpen the edges
We did not think the last video was the worst thing we ever seen. We still like the sister-in-law sign. Wondering why the pieces are being removed, it makes sense as to why you do this once you shared it.
Again, thanks for the tip. The only problem with your audio is from using the built-in mike on the camera in an open shop. It was designed for wide-range pickup, and so it catches all the echo and room noise. The last few words sounded pretty good because you were close to the camera.
Yes I have a better Mic I usually use but I've been hearing a popping noise from because I think when you use Ipad for monitor the wifi to GoPro causes the noise possibly. I would have fixed the low audio on the second half of the video but my wife was hurrying me to take her to breakfast so I didn't check it before uploading. Oh well, I'm gaining a little at a time. I ordered a new usb mic last night to do some voice over on screen recording at Plasma Table computer.
It was a powder that you mixed in buckets when filling with water. It came with the machine, he told me it was called Plasma Quench. I have not been able to find it. I got some other stuff from Airgas called Dynaflux
Put the piece in a muriatic acid bath and the dross falls right off, passivate it quick in a baking soda wash, blow dry and you’re done. If you paint over the black mill scale it won’t last

I use a flapper wheel. Never thought of a wire cup. I will give her a try. Been thinking hard on a Drum sander. Thanks for sharing.
You can use this, flap wheel discs, or a needle scaler. It's a mixed bag of results with different gauges of metal, but all three do a good job.
Flap discs don't work near as well as this. I used alot of them before I settled on this method.
