Paiste PST7 cannot be beaten at their price point. Paiste knows B8 and just like the 2002s these are crystal clear and have that shimmery sound. If you're a rock drummer like me I recommend the medium series as they project more yet open up just as beautifully. I play 17 and 19 inch crashes and they are awesome, it's also worth considering using the 20" light ride as a crash.

Can you help me out? I'm starting to drum and I ordered the mediums because I want to play mostly rock, metal & punk but was sent a set of lights. Should I ship them back out for the mediums? It's a bummer because I can't hear them in person and also because they sent me the wrong color drum set.

I bought the 10" PST7 splash online... just took a chance based on what I heard in videos and when it arrived I hated it. It was so high pitched and chimelike and narrow ranged. So I hammered the crap out of it and now it's like a small china/trash splash. I love it. Much drier and shorter and trashy.
