These flowers are like miracles!!!!!
It is a beautiful garden and I do love Iris.
I’m in Tennessee and it’s a dream of mine to see the Schreiners Gardens. I collect the catalogs and have ordered from them for years and always wanted to see the Gardens
The gray you liked so well translates to Gray Sky Over Poilly. I am committed now! I'm putting in an iris garden. Ground squirrels ate them before but I'm going to win this time!
Ugh, ground squirrels can be so destructive. I know I lost many this past winter from gophers using them as food which has never really happened before but we got 9 feet of snow and they became very hungry underneath it all.
Whoa! 9' of snow! That will bring some changes!@@FlowerPatchFarmhouse
This garden is stunning. At every turn there was another beautiful group of flowers.
I loved this so much! Could you do a video on how to divide and replant irises? Any tips or tricks? Thank you ❤
LOVED LOVED your tour!! From Texas and will never have an opportunity to visit in person! Can’t thank you enough!
I would love to do it again next year and if I do I will be sure to share! I am so glad you enjoyed it.

Mesmerizing thx to Janey for introducing you have renewed my interest in iris and how they can be showcased
Their gardens were so inspirational. I came away with lots of ideas as well.

Thank you so much for sharing this video!
You are so welcome! I enjoyed myself so much, we would love to come again next year.
Great little tour, you got in at the perfect time
Im loving the more suttle pastel varieties with various undertones... Was able to get my hands on 5 special ones from a collector here in germany and cant wait to see them bloom for the first time. Was inspired by the iris garden tour video of Sullivan Owen on here.
Oh thank you! I will have to check it out.
Gorgeous garden!
It really is! I enjoyed it so much.
Always wanted to visit Schreiner's. Thank you for the tour! Years ago, I met Bill Maryott of Maryott's Gardens in San Jose, and he gave me some sneak peeks of some of his hybrids for evaluation. I see "Florentine Silk," a new one I just planted. I've saved a lot of my old Schreiner's catalogues, but it's time to order a new one!
I tried to look him up to see if it was still around but can't find it but I did find another one in San Jose that I will have to try and visit this next Spring. Thanks for the heads up!
Bill Maryott moved his location to Freedom (near Watsonville), but I think he may have passed away.
@@FlowerPatchFarmhouse Correction! He is alive, and he's only hybridizing daylilies that are sold through (!) Schreiners!
Dear flower patch lady, i do hope you get to go back again. I keep forgetting the names of the irises. I do love the clematis at the beginning also..i have been meaning to ask you,do you like honeysuckle s.and do you think its okay to let them grow with clematis and a rose?just wondering 😊. Watched over again, the birds singing and sunshine. Perfect time for wondering around there.its so beautiful. Thankyou again. Xx
😍😍😍🌺🌺🌺👍👍👍
It was a wonderful visit, I was so enthralled with how they had the gardens planted with more than just Iris that complimented them so well.
Omg I love those and so many choices! Do they sell on line?
I ordered Iris for the first time this year - from Schriner’s! - so loved your tour! I’m curious, when you buy a variety, do you get one or more than one when you first plant? I think these long, wide rows are so pretty with the allium included. Do you know what they do with these beds once the iris are done blooming? I’m thinking of trying this but wondering what it would look like when they are all done blooming. I live in zone 4b but have living in the mountains (Colorado) with a very short growing season like you. I’m now binging your channel after discovering you on the Plant, Dig, Repeat RUclips channel. I think I can find lots of inspiration from you since we have similar challenges - like critters (gophers) and deer, and short growing season. Thanks for the tour!
A single stem can have several blooms on it. Since Schreiners only have the tours while the Iris are blooming I am not really sure what they do once it is done. I have my iris planted in among my other flowers and I trim back the leaves to around 6 inches about 6 to 8 weeks after they have stopped blooming to tidy them up but not always. The other plants grow around the iris and you really don't notice them anymore. You are so welcome for the tour and welcome to my channel!
What’s the best time to visit? This is on my bucket list as I am in Texas!
mid to late May, depending on how the Spring went. If it is warmer than normal they will bloom out earlier. Last year we went on Memorial day weekend and it was perfect. I went during the week, on Thursday, to miss the crowds.
Beautiful video. I've been buying iris from Schreiner's for decades. I had to suddenly move during the pandemic and quickly dug up as many as I could but I left the majority of my collection behind and am starting over. I was looking for Florentine Silk and didn't see it on the website. I wonder why some are not for sale? Maybe they need to replenish? Hope you can make it out again!
I do want to go back next season and I will try, it was so gorgeous. Sometimes growers need to make room for newer varieties so the discontinue some. You may have to shop around but you probably will be able to fine someone that has it to share.
@@FlowerPatchFarmhouse Yes, I've been working on identifying some of the ones I saved. Took me forever, but I finally figured out my favorite one is Queen's Circle! It was a Dyke's medal winner but no longer on the Shreiner website. I just placed another order to replace some of my historical iris! I'm running out room!
Believe it or not, Costco was selling 2 variety packs of bearded irises, and one was "Florentine Silk" and "Best Bet " Grabbed those fast! You may want to look there. This was in Sputh San Francisco.
Where is it...?
Thanks 👍
It is in Salem, Oregon!
What is the beautiful bright blue at around 11:47? thanks
