    Jackie, love how cleaned you kept everything as you were cooking, the recipe looks great also, one suggestion is don't ever drain your liquid down the sink, fasted way to clog your pipes up, the grease will always stick to the walls of the pipe no matter how much hot water you run after. I know from experience, and I'm very careful with what I did before. Great great job, very impressive job. 👍👍👍👍

      @@JackiesSouthernSoul I have a johnsonville sausage grill, which works great, provided your sausage links are not too big. But for hotdogs you would need to cut them down to size to fit and the spot they fit in on the grill plate is not that long. Plus the johnsonville grill is kind of a pain to clean. Baking them in the oven is such a great idea. We always just fried them in a cast iron skillet when I was a child or if at the part, had them on a grill. Very rarely did we boil them. I bought some nice super Kosher, organic, nitrate etc. free hotdogs and ok there were I think 24 in a pack but they were as expensive as steak. But I bought them for my nephew and didn't want to load his 2 year old body up with mystery meat and what kid doesn't like hot dogs?

    Cook your hot dogs in the chili when your chili is almost done.

    Amazon sells sugar free ketchup, it tastes just like regular ketchup. You have to give it a good shake before you use it though.

      Hey Barbara. They should carry Ruth’s Chili at any store that carries Ruth’s products. Look in the refrigerator section where the hotdogs and sandwich meats are.

    Is Ruth's chili frozen ?

    • @JackiesSouthernSoul
      @JackiesSouthernSoul  3 года назад +1

      Hey Susan! No it’s in the refrigerated section of the grocery store. Not every grocery store carries it though. I think I found it at ingles. When I see it I buy it and keep it in the freezer until I make chili. Look for it where the pimento cheese or refrigerated meats are. Thank you for watching and God bless!

    PS - for adding color try paprika and/or adobo chili powder. A LOT of color and no real added taste.

    If you did that at my house, eat off spone and put it back in the pan, I would throw it out of the door, pan and all. 😮😮😮
