They are about to come for Kendrick in 2025. The King has been crowned and everybody is about to go for the crown. It’s about to be a Game of Thrones/John Wick mashup. Assassins will pop up to take out the King of Rap, first of his name, Kendrick Lamar Duckworth at every turn… while he sits on his throne slaughtering some, laughing at some, ignoring most of them and tossing the rest to his homies to feed on.

    • @EANDM71

We have west coast hip hop for a reason. If Kendrick is one of the west coast rappers that saved Hip-Hop and the west coast, I expect for others to chime in and defend the west coast. It can’t just be on Kendrick. I’m like to see Tyler, Ab, and all these guys that appeared on Kendrick’s album, come out and defend the west.

    • @frankwyte81
      @frankwyte81 4 дня назад

@EANDM71 The West coast will be defended when needed. When someone challenges the West and it’s worth responding to… then guys like Tyler, Ab, Schoolboy, Daylyt can respond and defend. Being on an album only shows the public solidarity… these guys have each other phone numbers… I’m sure they communicate. The people on Kendrick’s GNX album were there for a reason… he was responding to the naysayers saying “he couldn’t make bangers” and “he didn’t put on lesser known artist from the West.”

immediate thought was that this is a better diss track (not song just diss) than drake’s because: 1. he kept it rap, ain’t no body guards with whitney here ☠️2. repping his regional sound is great and continuing a push for the reemergence of regional rap (no houst-atlanta-vegas…. how do you even type that 😂)
    3. feels like a control verse type challenge deal which is fun and not “being super salty and then publicly butthurt cause macklemore didn’t send him an apology text” core 😂

One of the things that made the 90's the Golden Era was how much regional rap dominated the game. You turn it on Rap City and you would see Pac, Nas, UGK, Scarface, OutKast, Cube, Snoop. All regions putting out 🔥 Joey clearly feels some sort of way about NY no longer being the face of rap and he wants to put on for the East coast the way Dot is putting on for the West. This is all healthy regional competition.

The irony of saying he's a voodo witch that draws pentagrams. Knowing they worship the devil lol. This guy listened to Reincarnated and didn't understand it...
Also using not one mic or any song from Nas but used ether on a verse that starts with a jay z bar which is also hilarious

I don't get why anyone would be upset at Joey (mostly people online). If anybody feels a way about it from the West or NY get in the booth and get busy. As everybody has been saying, this rap sh*t is competitive. This is the essence and feeling that Dot's been wanting the game to get back to. Joey slid on this. If anything Kendrick would appreciate this.

Kendrick also refers to himself as Elohim in Family Ties, which Joey mentions here

You should ABSOLUTELY check out his mixtape 1999. One of his best works and if i remember correctly, he released it when he was 17.

I mean, I like Joey. But nobody would care if the battle hadn’t just happened. He responded to control and nobody cared. He can rap though. But he’s nowhere near Kendrick’s level. King of New York is insane. Is he even the king of Brooklyn?

Listen man I've been listening to Joey since he dropped 1999 which is to date his strongest project top to bottom but that being said... Steeze bad a better pen, but joey can spit, I just don't understand why he would come at dot.. joey and ab soul are really close too so seems like a weird move to me

As a west coast native and Kendrick fan, I like it. Joey has always been just a bit behind culturally as far as his prominence but he certainly has the talent. I take it as Joey wants to be competitive.

It says everything you need to know about whether Joey badass is the king of New York or not by the fact that he got his house and guns and everything else that he's bragging about in the song from acting and not rapping.
    I'm just saying.

Tbh even if this song isn’t the most amazing, I think Kendrick would respect the energy. My understanding is he and Joey are friendly, and this feels like the type of competition Kendrick was trying to prompt with control a whole decade ago. No malicious reason in my mind that Kendrick wouldn’t work with Joey or one of his producers in the future.

All Amerikkkan Bada$$ was FIRE! I feel like the boy trying to light a flame under New York with this one. Like "come on, do better... I barely make music and neither does Rocky, im more famous for being on Mr Robot but im STILL saying I'm the ruler, rise up!"
