So glad you’re posting these older videos! I’ve only been a Smiley for the last 2 or 3 years, so I find these older videos most enjoyable. I keep hoping for good enough health for you that you can get out once again. Please take care, and stay with us!
Well well well that was amazing Keith, was this on one day or over a few days? That was surprising to see an EWS 37 as late as 2008, just hanging on i suppose. Amazing footage, so many coal trains back then and a lot of engineers as well. Water Orton is the place to be even in 2023i would hope. Fantastic footage and amazing freights enjoyed every second, the only thing i wasent happy with was i wanted evwn more footage! Really enjoyed Keith and thanks for sharing, hope your keeping well cheers Nick.
Thanks Nick, I am enjoying viewing my old stuff and I aint fit enough to go out. Not at all bothered but maybe venture out when the warmer season is here, Cheers and take care, x
Busy, busy, busy back then Keith, but take away all that coal traffic and you've lost pretty much half the freight and are left with what we'd see today - although minus the Fastline locos and a few liveries. Always interesting to look back and see the changes.
Agee mate. Not out at all now as my body say's NO. Maybe I'll do a bit in the summer. Who knows. I'm really enjoying watching my old stuff and am learning to do other things on the compy. Pleased to see that you are out n about
Sorry Keith but those days of colorful Container trains are long gone due to Maersk pausing shipping due to its ships being constantly attacked by militants
