hello Matt just a suggestion would you ever consider making a new playlist called raw footage where it shows you riding through the countryside on your adventures with know editing and maybe without even any sound that way it seems more like we're really there with you weather you're going up and down mountains or just cycling past farms, I think it would be great to see more of the current country that your going through at the time. I would love to see this individual video join The JaYoe VLOG on the daily during the cycling trip
You can listen to music. In other videos I have seen in a similar fashion there is no talking unless it is interactions with others around you, just biking views and sounds. Some people ride stationary bikes to keep fit. You can provide people something to watch and listen to so they feel like they are riding through Taiwan on their lunch break at the gym, or even in their dank basement. I might even ride mine if you make them since I should probably do something to stay healthy! :) Can't wait for the trip to start again. Jayoe bro!
With threatened European and US tariffs on Chinese bikes, Taiwan poised to take over . The European Union is enacting tariffs ranging from 80 percent to 170 percent on e-bikes made in China, and the U.S. is threatening a 25 percent tariff on Chinese e-bikes as well, causing suppliers to increasingly look to the Taiwan island for production. But anyway, Taiwan is a part of China, we mainlanders are not jealousy of them.
It’s neat to see where it all starts. I think people don’t realize completely that basically the whole kit we ride is a conglomerate of components made all over the world. People doing what they do best to create a product that works best. Cars. Refrigerators. Bikes. Everything. :). It’s the inspiration for the design and the overall plan that makes it possible.
I'm down 250lbs (without really exercising) in the last two years on the Keto diet, or as I like to describe it "a no sugar, no starch lifestyle." I actually do keto nutritional coaching professionally part time. I've thought about mentioning it to you as you've been talking more about your weight. It absolutely works, and once you're fat adapted you have more stamina and mental clarity with less hunger, it's kind of miraculous. The issue is that it completely changes your cellular energy metabolism (from primarily glucose seeking to primarily fat seeking) which can be a tricky transition and can be a several week/month process for your cells to totally fat adapt (the first time). In the meantime you might feel perpetually sluggish and foggy. Also when you're first starting out, cheating *at* *all* really sets you back, so it takes a lot of discipline to do successfully...once you're adapted you get more flexibility but in the beginning you have to be very strict or that sluggish/foggy period draws out endlessly. Anyway, it's a great way to get into amazing shape, but I was hesitant to mention it since adapting for the first time on the road seems less than ideal. That being said, you seem a pretty disciplined guy, and really all you have to do is stop eating carbohydrates and get your calories mostly from fat. Fatty meats/eggs + vegetables without sweet sauces for every meal, heh. (actual macronutrient caloric goals: 75% fat, 20% protein, 5% or
Exactly. I don't think it would really make sense while on tour either, unless he was already 100% ketogenic and VERY well adapted to eating that way...some renowned ultramarathoners are ketogenic...but it's not something to try for the first time on the road. It might be a good thing to keep in the back of the mind between tours though as eating ketogenically will help maintain physique and prevent fat gain while still being able to eat piles of delicious nutrient dense food.
@@damiangaxiola6356 haha not sure if that was sarcasm... there are many manufacturers in taichung..but Taiwan in general makes many bike parts... so does mainland china. depends what part you are looking for.
@@JaYoeNation Given that there are so many videos being posted to RUclips having a narration of 30 decibels, and blaring background music and sound-effects at 140 decibels [only a slight exaggeration], how I long for the day when someone creates a background sound-blocker extension.
Ya know... I agree with you. When I edit on my laptop I have to strain to hear music most times. I am always pushing it up to be a db below my voice. Then I render and listen to it on my earphones and it sounds great. The I will go to a friends house who has a kickass sound system in their House and I’m always astonished how blown out my audio is. It is probably my biggest vice. I’m always trying to find out how to balance. Whenever I compensate and adjust way lot I barely hear anything. I started making RUclips videos without any formal training. I just try to Lear as I go. If you listen flat without the lows... I think they sound better actually.
If i visited a factory making bike components... what kind of factory would you like me to visit? what would you like to see being made?

those would be veryyyyy long. I guess i could do that though. Ill give it a try. The problem might be me listening to music while i ride though.

Look out for the fabled 'Lucky' bike that played such a large role in Taiwan's cycling past. I wonder what your impression of them will be?
Thanks for sharing, is Taichung the best city to find bike accesories suppliers?
Yea. Many factories here.
@@JaYoeNation Well thanks a lot

@@JaYoeNation don't worry bro. Didn't want to mean that haha. But yeah should go there and see around factories would be great
@@JaYoeNation will consider Taichung as well ✅
Can you just buy the frames at these factories? Or do they require that you buy lot?
Can someone give me a name of factory where I can have good Track bike frames made?
JaYoe!! :-)

Welcome to Taiwan :)

Collab with Prozzie in Taichung (Laowhy86's Canadian buddy).
yup... already talked to him.
I just want to make a quick little video with extremely annoying music clips.
Ooh yea? Need any advice?

Are you an audiophile? Any tips? Honestly I could show you my timeline and they are not mixed drastically .
