Silicon vs. Germanium Fuzz Pedals

Not all Fuzz Pedals are made equal. Some use Silicon Transistors, others use Germanium and for that reason they have different tones. The London Fuzz and the Ox Fuzz have two versions for a direct comparison and then there is the Foxrox Hot Silicon and Buffalo FX Germanium Fuzz.
They are switched with the GigRig Quartermaster QMX6.

Buffalo - I liked best, followed-by: London Germanium. I was an Anti-Muff/Fuzz guy: until the Thorpy Fallout Cloud was purchased. Nice Tone, demo and comparison. Stay safe.

Thomas I can appreciate the sparkle added to the clean tone when the gtr vol knob is rolled back, but I found the full on drive tones on all of those to sound absolutely dreadful.
