Not only that but Laura tried so hard and practiced a lot just to beat Yume and she still didn’t make it while Yume just used her special power to win. I know she overcame it and won the S4 competition fairly, but all of that hard work Laura had to go through just got wasted. I’m not a Laura fan, though she is pretty. But there were better ways to write Aikatsu! Stars. (Ex: Laura becomes the S4 member instead of Yume, and the next season could be about Yume finally beating Laura while getting her star wings)

I never said Yume used her special power in the S4 selection, I said she won fairly. However, Yume had too much plot armor on. While she did suffer from her power, she was able to overcome it and yet it never showed her adjusting to the change. Yume had no experience with singing or dancing (or at least literally) and yet she still won the S4 Selection despite Laura’s years and years of dancing and singing. This also goes onto season 2. In the competition, we could see Laura training and practicing and yet she still couldn’t get in. As for Yume, what did she do to get in? This could also refer to Elza as well. Elza had also had years and years of beyond experience, even owning her own school/ship. It doesn’t make sense how a girl with little to no experience can beat someone who is almost or *is* a professional.

And how is Hime still using her mysterious power? You are throwing my points aside by the fact that I’m saying whatever writing Bandai did for her was bad. This doesn’t mean she herself is bad, but the way she her whole character arc was written. About my point about plot armor, how many contest and competitions has she won without trying as much compared to other characters? While Laura has been training singing only, my mistake, she would still have a better developed voice than Yume. I mean, look at Lily. She had one full year of experience with the Aikatsu system compared to Yume and Laura and she placed lower than both of them. Lily had been training both singing and dancing, not to mention that she can also act. It was also stated that her dance was equivalent to Yuzu’s and also had a unique vocal technique. Yet she still placed lower than Yume and Laura. And like my reason from earlier, Elza has been training to become an idol since she was young. She was even known worldwide and yet she still lost to Yume despite all her knowledge. And there was no episode which showed her or Koharu auditioning a live performance to get in other than submitting an application or some sort. They had to perform after they got into the academy, not before. You are clearly biased around Yume. It’s obvious you are. I’m not trying to attack Yume, I’m *literally* just saying how bad the writers wrote her. I didn’t want this “conversation” to evolve into something more but that couldn’t happen, now could it?
