Past 8 is mostly just corrupted worlds but there are a few fun ones here and there. The corrupted underwater 4-3 with the gray Bowser is actually a common corrupted level if you go past Level 8 using a romhack. Many levels are nearly identical to what you saw.

I used to have a game genie and modifying the level select code ended up with some crazy stuff. But mostly 1-1 with no ground.

@@TropicsWithAnX its a thing for old consoles like the genesis and nes, it was made as wau to change games but its not permant, basically after putting it with a game of your choosing you pit in diffrent different codes and different events can happen (for example, turning all enemies into bowser) but when you put in YEAAAA the game slowly corrupts each level, and this isn't permanent you just have to restart the game and remove the game genie, and alot of emulators now can use game genie codes
