👍😎 You’ve always said, the old fish house was practice. Know you’ve been thinking about every detail for a long time. Looking forward too watching you work, from my couch. 🥴 🖖
Anxiously awaiting the finish of your fish room . Over the years you have worked so hard but I think this will be your greatest accomplishment . I’m happy you have found your dream home and fish room .Thank you for letting us see your dream come true for you and family 😊 😻 Have a safe and Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸 🎊
I’ve missed sooo many vids and livestreams because my dad’s been in the hospital for months. I’ve been driving back and forth to Canada and haven’t had time. He’s finally making progress so now I’m looking forward to seeing the progress of this new fish room! Congrats on the move Lucas! Missed ya bud! 😎 Happy 4th of July 🥳
Excited for the fish room build to get underway! It’s gonna be amazing 😍 I would still love to see you set up one big scape out of 3 tanks stepping down in size so if you can find a way to make that happen still, I’d love to see it!
I keep multiple tanks of green water for them and feed them when I need more. If I don’t use them much I don’t bother to feed and they maintain population control until you feed them again.
I look forward to seeing how you build it out. I'd love to know how you "just get daphnia" in your tanks. Is it because you don't filter? Is that the difference? Or is it the no water changes? I have live plants and botanical in all my tanks. Quite a few of those plants were once yours! I do water changes about every 2 weeks depending upon the tank. And I have sponge filters running. I tried just cutting off my air, but the fish did not like it. I assume they need to be slowly acclimated to no air.
I have to source daphnia from somewhere first then once you have two to tango that’s all you need. Having no filter definitely helps. As far as the no air it all depends on fish bioload and if they aren’t used to it sometimes they can struggle with it. If you want high volume of fish it is good to have air especially at night. Since most my tanks are species only and lightly loaded it’s easier to accomplish.
Nice room to be:] I have a few soil tanks that where just set up a few weeks ago how long did it take you before you could take the filter and such away?
On your Sunco lights, are each of the two strips of leds in a tube? I was wanting to take the light apart are separate the lights to use on two different shelves. If they're in individual tubes and not permanently glued to the housing, it will work great for me.
I was like man; Im surprised Wesley doesnt live in that loft permanently now --- haha. But I see he's marked his claim. Are you guys going to start getting into mangroves since they are more native to Florida? My betta really likes playing in the roots and I also have one in a lil brine shrimp tank that seems to be helping it along. It would be rad to see what you and Sara do with 'em.
@@LRBaquatics 100% recommend over the brine shrimp hatcheries. I just tap a lil bit in; and they're good to go in the morning. (For some reason I havent got them self perpetuating yet)
I personally wouldn’t use those for tanks unless they are temporary. I will be custom building my own for longevity. If you want an easy rack I would look into the gladiator racks but you will want to support the shelves with plywood.
@@LRBaquatics I am using the dewalt industrial rack that holds likes almost a ton. It’s smaller than the racks creative pet keeping uses but I’ve seen her put 20’s on those wire racks so I had to ask your take haha. Personally scared to put anything on those bigger that 5g
I’ve been struggling with getting rid of green water. Even a full change only lasted about a day before the green came back. Using a UV sanitizer now, but it keeps going back to green! Any ideas of what to do?
Green water is always a nutrient imbalance combined with too much light. Gravel vac the poop or extra food, reduce your lighting to be on for 8 or 9 hours a day. That did the trick for my tanks
Zack is right. You could even go to 5-6 hours a day. The vacuuming helps because green water will leave a coat of algae on the bottom that seeds the water column. Daphnia will get rid of it right away but harder to do if you have fish in the tank. You could keep daphnia in a mesh container or breeder box to help as well.
Thanks guys! I did remove the fish, but the tank is still planted so I’ve been struggling with light. There was definitely some funk down at the bottom underneath. Backed off on lights and have my fingers crossed!
It doesn’t because I keep it in the mid hi 70s. If you keep at hotter temps then you may get some smells but that’s usually a warning sign you need to fix something or wc.
If you are saying they are breeding like crazy, and there is a "protein" film on top of the water...don't put your paws in the tank unless you want to get pregnant. O.o
Designing and building a big fish room seems like a lot of fun and a lot of work. Have fun with the fun part! 👍
Great Video, glad we are along for the ride for the fish room build!!!!!
Looking forward to seeing the new Fishroom adventures unfold.

Love for you to talk about plants that grow well together/and those that don't!

My wish has been granted 👌
So excited for you! How do you care for your daphnia?
I keep multiple tanks of green water for them and feed them when I need more. If I don’t use them much I don’t bother to feed and they maintain population control until you feed them again.

Many and most my tanks all besides the pond and on 75 never seen a filter.
looking good man 👍
Congrats on all your shrimp success bro! I may have to get some jades or velvets from you some day.
@@LRBaquatics Thanks man. You get partial credit or the blame depending on who you ask lol. Living the dream man 😁👋
Great tanks :)
Your great! 😆😅❤️
Is there any way you could take out a section of wall and let the natural Florida sunlight in? Now's the time, before you build too much.
I do have plans for adding a window and something else in the future.
Great vid :9)

Hmm you might be able to separate them…
Hi love the channel can you tell me how you get the bacteria in those tanks . From the UK thanks
It comes from the ether of Mother Nature it’s in the air. It just shows up overtime.
Where did you get your TANKAHOLIC shirt Lucas?
I think I got in from Sargent Tanks…
No filter how is that done would. Like to learn
Hi, what are your concerns and plans for temperature control?
I do have ac in the barn
thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a cool idea and eventually would like to mess with both brine shrimp and mangroves.

What fish club are you speaking about? Tampa Bay, Fort Myers?
Pasco county
How much weight do you put on those metal wire racks? Can they hold say twenty longs on each level?
I personally wouldn’t use those for tanks unless they are temporary. I will be custom building my own for longevity. If you want an easy rack I would look into the gladiator racks but you will want to support the shelves with plywood.

So you have the odd high pH, alkaline soft water too?
Lol yeah it goes against all they teach and proves my point of ph being a goose chase
pH isn't the problem here, it's raising the GH without raising the pH any higher. Jungle val doesn't do well in this water.
What is the name of the plant on the tank with the Taiwan lilly please.
Hmm not sure which one your referring to but there’s pearlweed in with it as well as crypts and the tank beside it has bacopa monneri floating in it
Boom!
Hello Lucas, Obviously Nathan isnt interested in the youtube thing. How is the old fish house going? You been in contact?
He is still getting used to it all. I have contacted him just last week. I wouldn’t give up on him yet.
He says the fish room is doing good but life transitioning is a thing for us creatures of habits and cycles.
I’ve been struggling with getting rid of green water. Even a full change only lasted about a day before the green came back. Using a UV sanitizer now, but it keeps going back to green! Any ideas of what to do?

new house?
Yes new property that I can build on :)
@@LRBaquatics looks cozy, good luck getting the aquarium back on the shelf again.
revie rainbow fish again
😃👀💚🌴🍀👍
MOM!! LRB said I didn't have to change the water in my tank. He said the water needs to want to change, before I can change it.
😂😂
Seeing all that lumber near the tanks makes me cringe. 😬
Lol I forgot to get the clip of me watering the electrical line in the vid. You would have appreciated that as well 😄
