In either 2000 or ‘01, I loaned James my sunburst MusicMan bass which he tried and really liked. He took it away to a Biffy practice or gig and then came back a few days later and told me the band’s management couldn’t sanction the purchase so he carried on playing his black Fender P bass.
Then a number of years later he gets his own Fender Squier signature model and is playing stadiums while I’m still playing a MusicMan bass doing covers in pubs.

Thing I love most about biffy is the fact there In it for the music. Everytime I listen to the guys talk about music you can feel the passion and enjoyment they get out of it.

Peavey TKO 75 was also my first amp and I had to sell it along with other various bits of gear so I could buy a better bass I wish I could of kept it
I'd forgot all about that amp. Not seen it in over 20 years.

Nice guys.....it’s funny when bands go from your little secret to massive headline acts.....biffy is one of those and it always makes me stop following bands like that. Glitter and trauma was the high point musically and from that special point of view.
You should try to not let a band blowing up make you stop following them. I still remember buying Infinity Land the day it released, bittersweet because I assumed it would be their last album. I thought that bands like this wouldn’t have enough appeal to make it big. Couldn’t be happier I was wrong. It’s great to see they’ve still got love for the music and you can see it here with Jim. Just a shame we’ll never see them at a small venue again!
