thanks for uploading, that pic says it all! he should do more tv interviews cause I love seeing the faces he pulls whilst being interrogated. VIVA MORRISSEY
He grabbed my hand from the stage in Dallas in 2009. In 2011, I encountered Boz Boorer in a bar in Austin. He was alone and nobody seemed to know who he was. Spent the night drinking with him and watching him shred rockabilly. I've accomplished my mission.
I think this is my favourite Morrissey interview.. it seems like Moz and the interviewer are getting along well rather than Morrissey feeling (quite rightly) superior and outwitting them constantly.
Watch the interview with Kristy Young on the "Desert Island Discs" series, probably the most heartfelt, honest and funny interview he ever done. He seems to be charmed by Young's intellectual wit so he responds accordingly.
In the order they're played: everyday is like Sunday, you're gonna need someone on your side, suedehead, the last of the famous international playboys,.
Lazee Gamer he's not wanting to go out in TCM, he keeps putting it off with stuff like 'i haven't got a stitch to wear'. As for HD it's a great song but is very shifty in it's premise. I think what Moz is saying about mating calls is not the 'mating' part but the 'call' bit, you've heard a mating call before, right? If you have then you'd get why I put ML
@CherryPi314 Indeed! it's very reasuring to hear him say that he intends to keep making music until The End. I believe there is a very good chance your prayers will be answered. I also missed the last tour, lamentably. So I shall pray too :)
While pompous, Morrissey does an interesting interview. I caught a show he did back in the early 2000's and it seemed sort of dated at the time. I get his point that there is no point for a Smith's reunion. He can play the songs now with musicians who are as good as the guys in the Smiths. He obviously doesn't get along with Marr and then there are I am sure hard feelings with other 2 after the royalty lawsuits.
vista7 theyr in no way as good as Johnny Marr as big a Morrissey fan as I am Johnny is every bit as important to the smiths as he was probably even more so cause of his work load
Britain has become very Americanised? Is that why Morrissey lives in California now? l don't ''look to Los Angeles'' for anything since Johnny Thunders died.
tree.house You must be an American. You can't differentiate between a quote, ironic satirical bullshit, The Pledge of Alienation or ANYTHING. Glamorous Glue. Listen to it, shut up, and get back to me Bro, or watch Judge Judy and jerk off. Either way I couldn't give a flying Fortress. Remember the Alamo!
tree.house O.K. Boring dull U.S. imbecile. America's a continent, I don't give a shit which part you're from. You can't change geography, history or try and seem smart about D.N.A. unless you're qualified in more than Wikitedian or produce Hillbillywood trash. You ain't that bright, you can't compensate for that with anything but bullshit. Just trust in god, and a fake democracy. Cheerio. innit?
''There is a light that never goes out'', Well yes, and many others that a plenty to mention. I've never followed anyone on 'Twit-tter', bloody classic. I also dispise 'The Boil Family' should have been flushed down the bog ages ago!
The title is often more important than the song? That speaks volumes about his approach. Marketing is more important than the product. And stag hunting is 'everything' The Smiths were against? I'd never have guessed.
That is not what he meant, although Morrisey has always given a lot of attention to details and chosen photos for the album covers for certain reasons, to portray a feeling or mood. The title is the first impression of the song, but rest assured with Morrissey the product is in a league of it's own, there are no rubbish B sides and lesser known songs on albums are often as good or better than the hits. The title is just a first impression, as he said it can repel someone or draw them in. You must not be a Smith's fan.
My God, I could listen to Moz all day.
The more I listen to this guy the more i like him ,he has the same honesty as Lennon and a great sense of humour .
He’s aged so gracefully. His voice is still strong. Amazing.
"Many of these were like mating calls, unanswered, but-" love this man😄
thanks for uploading, that pic says it all!
he should do more tv interviews cause I love seeing the faces he pulls whilst being interrogated.
VIVA MORRISSEY
I don't care how old he gets, he's just fantastic. Love Moz
Why would age ever measure someone's love of another?
The jam,the smiths,weller,morrissey..i was lucky to grow up to this music
I want him to tour again SO BAD. I missed him the last time he was in the states. Praying for a miracle!
He grabbed my hand from the stage in Dallas in 2009. In 2011, I encountered Boz Boorer in a bar in Austin. He was alone and nobody seemed to know who he was. Spent the night drinking with him and watching him shred rockabilly. I've accomplished my mission.
I love the dismissive tone in his voice when he says "twitter".
Thank you for posting. I want to play bass for this guy, in my dreams.
Still loving him in 2021!
They laughed but it was indeed the very first contemporary Penguin Classic...
I love the way he says "but". I luuuuuuv Mozza...
My high school journalism teacher (1988) told me I could NOT wear my "Viva Hate" t-shirt to school ever again. She said it was in bad taste.
If a kid wore it now, they'd label them a Nazi.
I'm laughing at how he says 'twitter' hahahahahaha
We haven't gone away you know. #mozarmy
perhaps it can't be complete until he is alive... long live morrissey, anyhow
I really like to listen to you talk -it more excites me for your singing...
Your voice more please xx🌹
It's out today!
I read about this lastnight. About bloody time! Haha
the best album you are the quarry :)
I read that it was going to come out this month, but I seriously doubt it
I think this is my favourite Morrissey interview.. it seems like Moz and the interviewer are getting along well rather than Morrissey feeling (quite rightly) superior and outwitting them constantly.

@@reanovakovic8330 just listened to that interview after reading your reply. Its absolutely brilliant, what a witty honest and charming man he is.
I love how Morrissey spits out the word 'Twitter' .. It's hilarious :)
Nice interview. The thing about the prime minister liking the smiths and morrissey was funny.
We are not worthy ... 🤩
I wish Morrissey would finish his book. Anything in his words is interesting. It will be a fantastic read and a best seller.
In the order they're played: everyday is like Sunday, you're gonna need someone on your side, suedehead, the last of the famous international playboys,.
I'd definitely say miserable lie would be one of the songs he labelled as a "mating call"
Amir Pourghoureiyan handsome devil? This charming man
Lazee Gamer how is this charming man a mating call? As for handsome devil, it's just perverted.
Amir Pourghoureiyan umm he's describing meeting a charming man and wanting to go out tonight?
Amir Pourghoureiyan and handsome devil is fantastic
Lazee Gamer he's not wanting to go out in TCM, he keeps putting it off with stuff like 'i haven't got a stitch to wear'. As for HD it's a great song but is very shifty in it's premise.

Even though he gets older, he still immediately looks like Morrissey! Must be the bone structure.
or the fact that he really is morrissey
@CherryPi314 Indeed! it's very reasuring to hear him say that he intends to keep making music until The End. I believe there is a very good chance your prayers will be answered.
I also missed the last tour, lamentably. So I shall pray too :)
VIVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed!
That makes alot of sense then.
Sometime in December :D
@Dilaltastic I think Stube437 meant this type of compilation.
It’s fantastic that Moz continued in music rather than becoming a novelist. His only published novel was widely and universally panned.
Well the fact that is your best diatribe says it all!
Well.. usually... autobiographies are about the person who write them....
When is his autobiography out, that's what i want to know!? he said 7 years ago that it was nearly finished!
@jacobbielarski
Morrissey "rarely" gives interviews. That's how it should have been read.
@69crafty It is Morrissey afterall.
what songs where used in this? I'm just getting to morrisseys solo career
Thankfully we havent yet had a US President who is a Smiths fan. Lets pray that day never comes. In my lifetime, at least.
@69crafty It's slated for later 2012
bet you it doesn't come out this decade
moz looks like robin williams in this photo.
Must be the Irish blood
Nah. He actually looks more like Graham Pink, our much revered English teacher back in the day at St. Mary's.
I bet he's finishing up the autobiography because Johnny Marr's working on one now
While pompous, Morrissey does an interesting interview. I caught a show he did back in the early 2000's and it seemed sort of dated at the time. I get his point that there is no point for a Smith's reunion. He can play the songs now with musicians who are as good as the guys in the Smiths. I can assure you the musicians he has around him are not of Marr or Rourke's calibre
vista7 theyr in no way as good as Johnny Marr as big a Morrissey fan as I am Johnny is every bit as important to the smiths as he was probably even more so cause of his work load
@Flip2k haha, that is scarily true!
100 for Mozzet
anyone know what his autobiography will be about?
To be honest, I haven't a clue... (as Morrisey would say)
He never plays What difference does it make solo that must be one of the songs???
Not really. It's not because he's outgrown it. He's said before that he's never liked that song. He said the lyrics were riddled with cliches.
Yes, Morrissey's 'biography' will make a great read.
Publisher's are foaming at the mouth, and pounds
sterling gleaming in view!
I'm gonna listen to sudehead
Suedehead
Britain has become very Americanised? Is that why Morrissey lives in California now? l don't ''look to Los Angeles'' for anything since Johnny Thunders died.
tree.house I was referring to a continent, not a state. It was quoting a Morrissey lyric.
tree.house You must be an American.

Like a German SUNDAY. ZAP ZEED FOR THE LIGHTNING ON YO TREE TO BE MONDAY'S TO END THE CAPITAL MONSTER FOR YOUR FAVOURITE SUNDAY...
You're an epic.
@Fallen80sChild haha blimey!
@zachtblauw how about Moz just does whatever the hell he wants?
''There is a light that never goes out'', Well yes, and many others that
a plenty to mention. I've never followed anyone on 'Twit-tter', bloody classic.

Silly old songs seeming as "mating calls," you imply? Excuse my being so cliche but, you had me at GIAC...
The title is often more important than the song?

Marketing is more important than the product.

Don't believe everything you hear Miss Bonnaire.
he SHOULD ban cameron from his concerts ,strange he seemed ok towards him
The Smiths.
always enlightening listening to Moz......but reform the Smiths mate, just for a world tour,,..for the fans!!
Laurel and Hardy
Johnny Marr is very funny
Is he really?
🤪
Thanks it should be a good book i'll read my copy behind close doors and have a good shit while doing so.
Good shit?
A good shit is a lot better than a terribly bad shit.
Shut up....why?
Morrissey is nobody s fool x
