Mowing with a scythe seems like an excellent way to develop some serious back pain, although he does seem to be making an effort to use his arms and not his body, which I'm sure helps. Either way this is a hard working man who I do not envy, but do respect.
I'd rather do this than mess up my back by sitting in an office chair for 30 years... I wonder who develops the worst chronic back problems...

Wow. I just... damn. There was a lot of work to be done before he even started and then the back breaking labor to follow... he had cows, let em' graze. There has to be a simpler way for him to do this. However to each their own! I did, for some odd reason, enjoy this.
They hay is for the winter. It is left to dry, then transported and stored to feed the animals in winter.
