I absolutely love this movie. The song is perfect. It is difficult knowing Christopher Plummer, who was a fantastic actor, is no longer with us but he left a great body of work to enjoy. He will be very much missed. Rest In Peace Mr. Plummer.

@@darabutler1213 Christopher Plummer was far far more handsome than Michael. Michael is far too skinny, pasty and gaunt/sunken looking facially. Christopher had beautiful, glowing healthy looking skin and wonderful large, emotive, sparkling, masculine gorgeous grey/blue eyes. Not to sound rude but Michael has very tiny beady eyes surrounded with wrinkles. Christopher also has gorgeous hair. Michael’s hair always looks very thin and not healthy. Christopher’s voice was also much more pleasant on the ear and melodic imo whereas Michael has a very monotonous voice in comparison. Christopher just had a much more pure masculinity and healthiness about his look that Michael really lacks imo. Imo Michael Fassbender has never been anywhere near Christopher’s looks in this movie.
"Every inch of your skin is a holy grail of God" seems somehow especially perfect. Also reminds me of the marriage vows part about "with my body I thee worship". "Marriage is a sacrament" also just flew into my mind. And I'm not Catholic. Sometimes you don't have to be. Wow. Pretty. 😍

I'm not sure it would even matter much to me if I liked what he looked like or not. It's not *those* sorts of things that matter to me about him. It's the look in his eyes when he looks at her. It's the way he smiles just right (for the character and the story, not just for my taste) and some who play this part on stage do *not* know how to do that. It's the quality and the skill and the style of the acting. That's really a lot of what makes him attractive. Just wanted to say. Acting can be attractive too. So can (the impression of) kindness, thoughtfulness, helpfulness, etc. It's not always all about what do they basically *look* like. Nothing wrong with good looks and he does have those, but I've never found him *so* attractive that I would pay much attention for him just for his looks alone. Which has never really mattered because that really wasn't the most important thing anyway. More than just a pretty face, it's what he *does with* his face, i.e. facial expression etc., which is also part of the acting. It's *those* sorts of things that really matter more.
