  • I finally got around to pinching a hand scale to test the "truth" on the VRS DirectForcePro 20Nm mount.
Several such tests have been done on other bases and many times different numbers have come out than those declared by the manufacturer.
For vrs I have not found the corresponding test on the internet.
And that's how I did it.
According to wikipedia, to measure the torque of a rotating shaft, the lever one meter long from the center of the shaft exerts a weight on the other end of the lever 0.1 kg every Nm.
So, according to the scale that shows 2.56 kg, and with a little math (2.5×0.1=25),
The result that comes out is 25 Nm, while the manufacturer states 20 Nm.
And to remind you this measurement measures continuous torque, and the instantaneous torque that most manufacturers write is always higher.
