Had the same one years ago! My dad got it at a garage sale for $50. You'll notice she's a little loud cause she's air cooled. Pretty sure you can still order parts for it thru Sears. 😉
They are what is called exhaust cooled. There is a water pump that pumps water up to the lower bearing and then it falls down the leg and keeps the leg from getting too hot from exhaust gas. I had an old 5hp that the pump was bad for many years and the power head fractured and broke off. Maybe due to overheating the metal.

I have a 1980 7.5Hp.. rebuilt the carb,
Currently working on impeller replace. Parts are getting hard to find.
They are great motors. Good luck on the impeller replacement.

I have the same motor but the prop won't turn and it's not the sheer pin maybe something's wrong with the clutch any help would be appreciated
If you put the motor in gear can you spin the prop?

It's a 50:1 mix.
The engine is air cooled that's a good engine for YOU look at you go alright get down you don't want to much power now
