Hi Guys, I'm Hugue, 65 Retired from Brussels - Belgium. I have decided to move to Panama To live there my retirement mainly for fiscal reasons as the hungry Belgian taxman is taking 500 € from my 2300 of pension. I've calculated that in order to simply reimburse the taxes that I paid during my carreer they would have to pay me 2300 till I'm 135. So in other words i paid enough and that will be it. I've planned an exploratory visit in May this year to open a bank account then return to Belgium to give to the Office des Pensions my Panamean acc number and the bye bye cold expensive Belgium. I plan to spend one week in alitude and another one at sea level in order to have a feel for the heat, and when I come back I can look for a place to stay. In the meantime I'll apply for the pensionado visa. SO my decision is taken. I just wanted to say hi and how much I appreciate your youtube channel I like the matter of fact tone of your reports and of course i have subscribed. Keep the good work. Best regards from Hugue

I agree with you but if you don`t pay taxes abroad I would say Cyprus, Spain, and Portugal in Europe, all cheap countries, and free healthcare. Panama, Thailand, and the English-speaking Philippines are also countries with great climates and nice prices. Anyway, if you fail to like Panama there are many choices.

Hi, yes the condo fees are included. Evenings and nights are still very warm and it takes getting used to. That is no diffent in other Panama Cities or towns at that elevation. David virtually offers everything that you expect in a big city. Thank you for watching

Like your videos. I saw the web site for this condo complex a few months ago and have contacted them about renting. My wife and I are considering coming to Panama for the winter this November and I was wondering if you could give me an idea of approximately what the cost for electricity is when using the air conditioning? The pictures of the units and the complex that we saw on line looked very good. Now after seeing your videos I am sure we will be staying there as long as they have a unit available when we come down.
Thank you for your comment. The electricity if you are not used to the heat can run up to $180.00 or more.my wife likes it on when we are home and all night and it is about$140.00 water is included and all you have to worry about is cooking gas if the unit has it instead of electric and internet.
I suggest to reserve a unit earlier, because the dry season is the busy season here

We didn't rent the furniture. We bought ours, but there are many units available that are furnished

Hi, yes we live here full time. You need a CDN bank account for your pensions. Canada will not deposit in to a Panamanian bank account as far as we know.

Hi, it gets noisy around this time of year. This is the biggest celebration season of the year with music and fireworks. Unless you live in an all Expat community, you will have this in Panama. They love to celebrate
