Hi, i noticed you use the clutch part number SRK 22 and i looked it up and its says the part is meant for ninja 650 and wouldnt fit the vulcan s 650. Just want to make sure if you put the right part # in the video?
Great job! Why did you have to change the clutch? Can you send me a link of where you got the clutch kit as well as your saddlebags they look awesome...
A CONFORTI got the clutch from amazon , bike shop in Florida , bags are Viking lamalar large . Reason for swap was it started slipping. I send it everywhere I go so....
KIMBER976 sorry about not hearing that part, I wear “hearing aid”, not from old age. Born this way. Also running a printing press for 25 years took it’s took told on me too.
Im desperate! How do you remove the clutch cable from the clutch cover as seen at 3:46 ?? I've loosened it by the lever but it won't come off while Im pushing the cover part in.
Man I have installed it exactly like this for some reason, the clutch rod going down through the housing does not release the clutch though, Ive soaked everything torqued everything down correct, no clue whatsoever. I am just bewildered at this point. Did you have any issues with the rod through the housing not releasing the clutch, like there is no resistance on it at all hardly, when I reattach it to the clutch line it doesnt return when you let off the lever, bought new clutch lever return spring and everything same result. I have taken it apart and reassembled this thing to the T and cant for the life of me figure it out.
Another one lol. Do you consider you used the clutch heavily or was easy on it? Just trying to gauge how long mines going to last. Also thank you for the video!!! Great help for a noob
For those without this exhaust, be aware of just how f’ing loud it is. His neighbors are likely PISSED! It’s super loud. I won’t even start mine near my place. I coast downhill about a block before firing it up in the morning
How's the new clutch been holding up for you? Did the new springs significantly increase the clutch lever pull force? I think my springs are getting tired, am considering a spring change to aftermarket.
Great, clutch pull is slightly harder. If you use stock levers you won’t notice it as much as aftermarket shortys . Also lube your cable every oil change.
Nice vid . Tks for taking time and effort videoing to make things easier for others, Respect.
TX 10W50. Still does cold but heavier weight for the heat 👍. Good to hear I'm not the only one bumping weight.
Great video I have a 2018 Vulcan s only 6,500 miles on it good to know the clutch change out is not difficult.
Thankyou, that was great video and i'm going to grab one of those funnels too
Was there any clutch drag when you were done?

Ninja 650 and Vulcan S 650 (and Versys 650) use the same engine, and so all related parts will be shared.
I think I’ll attempt changing my clutch on my own now
Buena enseñanza podemos enviar prácticas en español muchas gracias

A CONFORTI Part number listed in video
KIMBER976 I notice you did not put in the new gasket too? But thanks for all the answers!😎
A CONFORTI yes , I explained the reason why in the vid. Gasket was in good shape . I did have one on hand just in case I did tear that one.

Torque spec on clutch bolt springs? 87 in/lbs as well?
Bro how did you get the clutch cable disconnected? Mine won’t come off, I loosened everything like in the video

Lever side has to be removed first. Loosen and align the cutouts on top , remove the cable from lever and then the bottom should go.
Thank you! I had to remove my clutch lever but it worked. You rock!

mind me asking what what book / manual did you use? also was very helpful :D
if you use 2 hooks tools would help easier. one on each side when taking out disc

If I remember right the arm has to be pulled back slightly so it could grab the center pin correctly. Something is missing.
I’ll look at the diagram and see if I could figure it out. Are you located in Phoenix by chance?
I'm going through that bullshit too. I know to get a honda next time if ima go Japanese. The vulcan is cool but they set it up to sit in the garage
Hey man, I saw your vid. I have also looked at the manual. But do not see the torq specs when tightening the bolts down. Where did you get your info?
What was the issue originally causing you to do this job? How many miles? Thanks !!
Matt A , Clutch started slipping at WOT, 26,000 miles I believe
