Its all about "look at me, I am now a saint", He is selling his snake oil based on prepped up philosophy and wisdom poetry that has been carefully picked for him. Not a single concrete plan. He promises to let his "manifesto committee" come up with those plans. He has not had a real job his entire life. He has access to immeasurable treasure chest of the congress party that he is using for a "personal transformation" walkathon that he is calling "bharat Jodo". But I must warn indians falling for this kind of emotional appeal citing gandhi and nostalgia for gandian times etc etc. At end of the day its a vanity march of one highly nepotistic privileged mediocre political prince and nothing else.. Compare his ideas to just the above talk and you will see the hollowness and stupidity of Gandhi. If he manages to fool Indians and win the next election it will be a disaster. India is never going back to congress unless Rahul gandhi speaks with even half the eloquence of Ashwini Vaishnaw or N Chandrasekhar. Please vote carefully. Give Modi and BJP at least another 10 years and then vote for congess if you are weary of BJP but do not jeopardize this momentum that India has gathered. There are too many dark clouds forming in our neighbourhood and we need a strong leader and especially one who is not even halfway through his plan. Let him finish it before throwing him out or judging him. He needs to be in power at least till 2030 and then we can change him. AAP will be a credible opposition by then and we can compare their ideas but not Rahul Gandhi please.

Very Good conversation from all the panelists. I really liked N Chandra points . 1. We need to execute, excute, execute. 2. India will be building solutions for the world not just for India. 3. We should not glorify that fact we are now the 5th largest economy, we have a long way to go. The realization that Govt has fed 80 crore people with ration tell us how much poverty is there in our country. This is even after 75 years of independence. Per capita growth is very much needed. Current Govt has done really well in building Infrastructure overall, the fruits of which will start bearing in next few years. We still have a long way. India is playing a test match & should play with controlled agression to win in next 25 years.

Agree and above all we need these 4 things in Mumbai. 1) Water treatment plans for waste water. Its shameful that we put untreated water into the arabian sea 2) Closed drains. No more open large drainage rivers. Its shameful that we still have this in Mumbai. 3) We need a large garbage bin at every 3 or 4 road corner. 4) You are right public transport should be priority not policy to encourage more cars. We need to take singapore model. Convert all the local trains to Metro class trains and bring in Japanese type of punctuality and cleanliness in those trains. Hundres of people in uniforms need to be wiping and cleaning the trains and platforms 24 hours. 2. India will be building solutions for the world not just for India.
3. We should not glorify that fact we are now the 5th largest economy, we have a long way to go. The realization that Govt has fed 80 crore people with ration tell us how much poverty is there in our country. This is even after 75 years of independence. Per capita growth is very much needed.
Current Govt has done really well in building Infrastructure overall, the fruits of which will start bearing in next few years. We still have a long way. India is playing a test match & should play with controlled agression to win in next 25 years.

Agree and above all we need these 4 things in Mumbai.
1) Water treatment plans for waste water. Its shameful that we put untreated water into the arabian sea
2) Closed drains. No more open large drainage rivers. Its shameful that we still have this in Mumbai.
3) We need a large garbage bin at every 3 or 4 road corner.
4) You are right public transport should be priority not policy to encourage more cars. We need to take singapore model. Convert all the local trains to Metro class trains and bring in Japanese type of punctuality and cleanliness in those trains. Hundres of people in uniforms need to be wiping and cleaning the trains and platforms 24 hours. All trains should be Air-conditioned and travel should be dignified not this 'Cattle in a tin container" quality of current trains. Disgusting and embarrasing.

@@kalgandikota7752 yes if 2VBs r allocated to say 360deg delhi for 200km runs around Delhi say del-ambala/sharanpur/agra/Moradabad/Tundla/ringas/jaipur /jhansi/Bathinda 200-300km can all b covered if 4Vbs r allocated ie 200loops 8/9runs/day nd 300kms 5/6runs ie 1 VB for 100-125kms ie 16 runs per day decongesti g delhi in a day as will provide 9k/6k/15k passengers and even if 6vbs allocated 30k passengers removed per day all around Delhi when passengers crowding less can b used to ferry longer distance that's all... Within 1-2 mths overcrowded RStns will become a thing of the past as around Delhi stns w become active and alternate connects r given by providing people free travel on vbs once range of 300kms into Nd outside Delhi is given to passengers travelling g on other trains as they can b totally removed from coming into Delhi instead 3hr journeys passes allocated alongw seemless travel ie 30-180k/day passengers ie remived over 100/200/300 w. Metros nd 360deg delhi plan using just a few vbs ie 100kms in 1hr trains.. Under 100or 125 kms connected w metros.. Same goes true if 3-4vbs each r allocated to 30 Indian cities for hourly/half hr loops 16hrs a day 5am-11pm

Even if they do not call you to explain your calculations, they may take your idea and run the calculations using super computers with the existing railway data and other demographic data for the last few years. Such testing is usually called 'back testing' to come up with a future trend, volume and momentum figures. You are a smart man concerned about the well-being of others, what is your education and job experience level?

By God , how much great communication skills these guys have. All these great talks can be debunked by two things a) growth in per Capita GDP b) why there are so many outrage on the street? We don't collect data and on top of that we make such huge claims.
In India, there are two growth rates one is for top 5-10 % and the rest. If they don't address major problem of mass unemployment, we will see more violence on our streets
