You're so beautiful Alivia. What a gem, I am in the last stretch of my Bachelors and looking for research tips for a personal pet project of mine. This video is exactly what I was looking for. You are appreciated!
Congratulations for your goal! I am in this moment ending my PHD thesis in History and Etnohistory and understand absolutely your video and yours experiences, greetings from México...
Congratulations! I graduated the same time, this video would have been so helpful as I was writing mine - the lit review and outlining the paper was so crucial, aaaaaaagreed. I hope others find your video. My professors recommended Zotero but I had gotten used to Scribbr's citation generator over the years.
Hey Alivia please give best booklist of anthropology for highly competitive exams which can give me in depth knowledge of the subject , and one question is this subject requires practical
I admit, anthropology textbooks have not been a big part of my education at UCLA but after doing some basic research, "Anthropology: asking questions about human origins, diversity, and culture" and "Cultural Anthropology: A Global Perspective" both seem like they could be good options. I'll look into this further though and maybe make a video about it!
I'm so flattered that people would be interested in hearing about it! I actually have another video coming soon with more info on my research that I'm excited to share :)
@@AliviaBrown as am I! Can’t wait to hear more about it! I am currently studying economics and plan to double it with anthropology! I am currently working on some personal projects that I plan to submit for journal and for undergrad research so I get excited to hear about other peoples projects they are working on!
Hi Alivia! Australian graduate of History and Anthropology here. I was curious as to whether you've ever read any of the work of Robert B. Edgerton, particularly his book 'Sick Societies' as he was a professor at UCLA if I recall correctly? If not I'd strongly recommend.
How cool, so awesome to hear from graduates! And yes he was a professor at UCLA. I actually have not personally read his work but he is constantly referred to by the professors here. I will absolutely look into that though, thank you!
Anthropology senior here. Tbh, I am basically very jealous of you guys because we don’t get that much funding (actually, we get no funding) for our undergraduate research, and not all is represented here in our department (bio anthro is just a pain). Am happy for you tho! I hope you get to go far haha. Looking forward to working with you in the future haha (conversing would be nice). I am interested in your thesis tho. What is it about?
Anthro seniors for the win! And thank you, UCLA is truly an exceptional place to do undergraduate research and I feel so lucky! And I have another video coming out about my thesis/research so I wont spoil it hehe
The way you so passionately talks about Anthropology delights me!
